The transfer window shuts tight at 11pm on Monday night. Arsenal lined up with Yaya Sanogo up front in their 1-1 draw with Leicester on Sunday. These are facts.

Surely, surely Arsene Wenger cannot in all good conscience let that window shut without bringing in someone who can lead the line for the Gunners more effectively than Yaya 17-competitive-appearances-and-not-one-single-goal Sanogo. Surely.

Well perhaps not. But if he does want to bring someone in he'd better do it quick sharp.

If he is plotting a move, here's who he might be considering...

A number of factors could make this an attractive prospect for Wenger... which sadly means it almost definitely won't happen.

I'm actually going to bullet point it because it's easier that way.

Lacazette: He's really good, you know

Lacazette had always been flirting on the fringes of brilliance, and then last season somebody flicked a switch and he became one of the best young prospects in French football.

The Lyon striker has a good passing game, and would be able to hold up play and feed players like Ramsey, Ozil and Sanchez into the box.
