SCHWENKSVILLE, Pa. (WPVI) --

Instead, she uses, "Mindi's own window cleaner. It's not hard to make. It's just equal parts of apple cider vinegar , or you can use white vinegar, and water."

She adds, the same formula makes a great de-greaser for your stove. And that's not the only cleaning product Cherry makes on her own.

She says, "We do spend a lot of money on cleaning products when there's really no need to because, so many of them, you can make your own."

Got a coffee stain on your t-shirt? No need to "Shout it out." Cherry mixes liquid Castille soap, vegetable glycerine -- which you can find at craft stores -- and water.

"You mix these three ingredients up in a spray bottle and keep it in your laundry room," Cherry explains, "And whenever you have a stain, you just spray it up. Just like the other stuff, you have to let it soak for a couple minutes, rub it and it works exactly the same."

She also makes her own toilet bowl cleaner.

She explains her recipe, saying, "A mixture of baking soda, and Borax. If you remember that, it's stuff our grandparents used to use. And a little bit of essential oils. One's a disinfectant, one to give you a nice smell. And some water."

Cherry adds that these home-made cleaners aren't just less expensive, they're more environmentally friendly.

"We can use the stuff that they're making now, but you've got all those things that you can't pronounce in them. A lot of people are working toward getting a more green lifestyle and this is a great way to do it."
