Diseased pine tree removal projects along southbound Highway 1 will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

Monday and Tuesday, March 3 and 4: Southbound Highway 1 at Mesa Drive and S. Carmel Hills Drive near Carmel. Southbound traffic will be re-directed to northbound lane with delineation. Delays up to 30-minutes are expected. Residents of Big Sur, Carmel, Carmel Valley are advised to use Laureles Grade.

Wednesday, March 5: Southbound Highway 1 at Flanders Drive near Carmel. Southbound traffic will be delineated to turn-pocket. Delays up to 20-minutes are expected.

Thursday, March 6: Southbound Munras off-ramp at Highway 1 in Monterey will be closed. Five minute delays are expected.

Friday, March 7: Southbound Highway 1 near Fern Canyon in Carmel. Southbound closure with one-way traffic control on northbound lanes. Delays up to 10 minutes are expected.

The roadwork is being performed as a safety precaution to provide a safer route to travel. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when driving through highway construction zones.
