June 20, 2014 - Florida State League (FSL) St. Lucie Mets PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (June 19, 2014) - The new look St. Lucie Mets won their sixth straight game by beating the Fort Myers Miracle 7-4 on Thursday at Tradition Field.

Earlier on Thursday, St. Lucie promoted five of their All Star - Brandon Nimmo, T.J. Rivera, Dilson Herrera, Steven Matz and Randy Fontanez - to Double-A Binghamton.

In return, the Mets received six player who were promoted from Class A Savannah. Four of those players - Gavin Cecchini, L.J. Mazzilli, Jeff McNeil and Robert Coles - played crucial roles in the Mets' victory.

Mazzilli smashed a three-run homer, Cecchini drove in two runs, McNeil walked and scored and Coles picked up the final four outs to earn the save.

Eudy Pina went 4 for 4 with two RBIs, two runs scored and was a home run shy of the cycle.

The Mets, who finished one game behind Fort Myers for first place in the first half of the Florida State League South Division, improved to 6-1 against the Miracle this season. The Mets have won all four games they've played against Fort Myers at Tradition Field.

The Mets jumped out to 4-0 lead in the third. Eudy Pina greeted B.J. Hermsen with a single and stole second base. Cecchini drove him in with a double. After McNeil walked, Mazzilli clobbered a pitch over the left field wall for a three-run homer.

Adam Brett Walker put the Miracle on the board in the fourth with a sac fly.

The Mets extended their lead to 7-1 in the sixth. Albert Cordero and Maikis De La Cruz both singled off of Alex Wimmers with one out. Pina brought both runners in with a triple down the left field line. Cecchini knocked Pina in with a sac fly to center.

The Miracle scored three runs with two outs in the seventh against Mets starter Gabriel Ynoa to make it 7-4. Jake Kuebler came in to get the final out, then induced a double play ball in the eighth.
