In the first episode of In Your Element, I had the honor of photographing my former professor - Ann Phong. She was gracious enough to invite me into her home and let me have a look at the newest painting that she has started work on, which is very different from anything that she has ever done before. In addition, I got to delve deeper into her life and hear about her amazing journey - from being a young artist who escaped Communist Vietnam, to the professor who is well-liked by all the students who have taken her classes.
