Hotel Invest International Launches Room Investment Concept in Koh Phangan, Thailand

Hotel Invest International (HII) have launched a new hotel/resort in Koh Phangan Thailand. Now the company is hoping to attract more people looking for a rather unusual investment in their planned hotels and resorts throughout Asia.

Hotel Invest International offers investors a 50% share of the income (net profit after costs) from investors room, let out to hotel guests throughout the year, and lets owners use it for up to 30 complimentary nights per year. The company manages the hotel and room on investor's behalf.

Hotel Invest International claims to provide a safe alternative investment, which they say offers investors a much higher return than the banks, but is much less risky than the stock markets. Investors can now easily own a share in a number of luxury hotels and resorts, without running all the risks associated with trying to become a multimillion dollar developer.

The company says its investors receive a 14.3% average income (per room) after charges, equating to USD$14,157 per year, which is considerably higher than the return on a traditional buy-to-let property in the region.

In addition, investors get 30 nights complimentary stay at the hotel, at say $100 per night, so this adds up to an extra $3,000 per year benefit. Investors would therefore be looking at receiving USD$17,157 in total benefits per year on a USD$99,000 (GBP59,950) outlay.

The income on a room depends on how successful the hotel is and while demand for rooms in Thailand is high, that's no guarantee of future prospects. However, the company bases its 14.3% income on an 80% occupancy, so there is also an equal chance of a higher yield.

As volatile as the stock market can be, many investors have been looking into safer ways to invest their money so, "alternative investments" have become increasingly popular over the past 3-4 years.
