Roofing supply chain enters Marion market

Beacon Roofing Supply, a distributor of residential and commercial roofing materials, has opened at new branch in Ocala.

The new store at 655 SW 15th St. is open and employs four full-time workers, according to Erik Zadrozny, a company spokesman.

The store is Beacons 12th in Florida and 270th nationwide, Zadrozny said.

Paul Isabella, Beacons president and CEO, described the entry into Marion County as the latest move in a key growth state for Beacon.

The new Ocala branch will enable us to reach new customers and expand our business with existing customers, Isabella said in a press release.

Beacon Roofing Supply is based in Herndon, Va., and is North Americas largest publicly traded roofing distributor. The company employs more than 3,000 and In fiscal 2014, had sales of $2.3 billion, according to a company press release. The Company employs more than 3,000 associates.Its shares trade on Nasdaq under the symbol BECN.
