A local roofing company in Western North Carolina is giving away a free roof to a needy family.

Balken Roofing of Swannanoa will be the local sponsor of No Roof Left Behind, a national program that helps communities organize and rally around families in need, that have fallen on hard times.

For the 4th year, Balken Roofing will be providing a new roof at no cost to a deserving homeowner in need.

Nominations for this year's giveaway are due by Wednesday, March 1st, so time is running out! Last year, a family in West Asheville got a new roof thanks to this amazing program.

Nomination will be reviewed and 4 finalists will be selected. From March 20th to April 17, oting will be open to the public online; with the winner being revealed on April 28, 2017!

Rules: Must own your own home, and be a resident of one of the follow counties- Buncombe, Henderson, Haywood, Madison, Transylvania, or McDowell.
