CALDWELL, Idaho After the Nampa School District levy failed to pass in the last election, Ridge Runners Remodeling offered to re-roof multiple schools in the Nampa School District, all for free. The school district ended up turning him down though, due to what they say were limits on liability insurance. So, hes helping out elsewhere.

Eric Libby, the owner of Ridge Runners Remodeling got in contact with the executive director for Habitat for Humanity, and now hes re-roofing a Caldwell womans home.

I had been looking up at the roof and seeing these ruffled shingles and I thought, wow, I dont know if its gonna make it through another winter, said Dale King, Caldwell resident.

That was a valid concern that was only heightened when Eric with Ridge Runners Remodeling showed up and told her that if the roof does not get replaced, it might cave in once snow falls.

Lucky for Dale, Eric was on the hunt for opportunities to help out the community.

Why not, if you have it. I like to take 10 percent of what I make anyways and give back, said Libby.

Hes already repaired five roofs just since the Nampa School District turned down his offer to do theirs a few weeks ago.

Time to give thanks and thank the community for everything that they provide me, cause without the community I have no work, said Libby.

And with the help of a local roofing supply company, Eric is going to repair Dales entire roof free to her, but not to him.

I pay my guys to do the work. They shouldnt have to do anything for free, said Libby.

He says his payment comes in the form of smiles on the faces of the people he helps.

Eric plans to have Dales roof finished by Thanksgiving, and hes looking to help out other people in need through Habitat for Humanity as well.
