"We've had to hire more salespeople and staff, so we outgrew our office at home," Mike said. "Overall, it has been nice to not be at work all the time, since our old office was in the basement of our home. And the new sign is really nice for people to be able to drive by and see that."

Krumm Siding, which is a U.S. Seamless Steel franchise and a Leafaway dealer, services roughly a 30-40 mile radius around New Richmond.

"We don't do a lot of new construction stuff, but we are seeing an increase in people who want additions done after they have been living in their homes for the last 20 years or so," Mike said. "There are quite a few people who are wanting to make changes to their homes or upgrading them."

The Krumms have owned the property where their new office is located for the last three or four years with the intentions of moving their business offices out of their home in the near future.

"After 20 years of business, our customers are becoming repeat customers and their kids are getting to an age where they might need work done on their homes as well," Cheryl said.

In addition to offering services for siding, windows, roofing, gutters and Leafaway, Krumm Siding & Roofing now also offers construction work such as decks, additions, kitchens, bathrooms and other renovation services for interior projects.

"We started adding those other services because past customers called us and wanted to see if we could do those things for them," Mike said. "They would ask if we can side their house and also do this other thing. We hired Carl Kopp as our project manager and estimator, who must have 30 years of experience in the construction industry. So it was a good fit.

"We've been so busy lately that we will probably have to hire more people this year to keep up with all the business we are doing."
