WYOMING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Better Business Bureau is issuing a warning, after homeowners filed complaints about a Wyoming roofing company.

They say Ken Bird Roofing is taking money, but not completing any work.

Newschannel 3 tracked down Ken Bird Tuesday to get his side of the story.

Bird tells us his businesses has run into a financial hardship, but hes doing the best he can--but for those homeowners who feel they've been tricked--they're not sure that's the truth.

Last summer, Rick Schell wrote Ken Bird a check for $3,200--half the cost of a new roof.

"He cashed it within an hour that I gave it to him," Schell said.

But Schell says nearly a year passed before any work began, this summer--and he wasn't impressed.

"It was very cobbled, it was pieced together, the valleys were very crooked, it actually leaked," Schell said.

Schell took photos and called Bird.

"He came down and acknowledged that he did a bad job," Schell said.
