I read your article regarding businesses being run out of homes in The Villages, and I would like to respond since you chose to post a picture of one of my vehicles (without knocking on the door and asking about it).

Yes, we have two vehicles there at this time and they happen to be roommates that work for the same company, 5 Star Roofing. As you stated, these vehicles are gone during work hours (out helping our customers) and I would like to be clear that at no time have we ever conducted business, entertained customers, or directly advertised there.

We are doing a lot of business in The Villages, and as a convenience for our employees, we provided an Airbnb to make it easier for them to continueproviding the quality service that our customers have come to expect.

With that said, I understand where the neighbors would have concerns and that was never our intent.Because of this, I have submitted a 30-day notice of cancellation to the landlord and will be out by mid-December.

Ask anyone who has spoken to our guys, they are always very friendly and polite as we have built a very strong relationship with The Villages and truly want to continue the great relationship that we have worked hard for.

Kyle Schiro lives in the Village of De La Vista and is with 5 Star Roofing.
