PARAMEDICS and firefighters helped lift a woman to safety after she fell from a retaining wall in Birkdale on Monday.

Emergency services were called to Commodore Drive late on Monday afternoon after reports the woman fell from the wall alongside Moreton Bay.

Ambulances and Queensland Fire and Rescue teams from Capalaba and the Technical Rescue Response Unit responded to the call.

Although the 25-year-old was not trapped, firefighters helped the paramedics lift her to safety in a stretcher, before she was taken to hospital.
