KUCHING: The assistance of MBKS or any relevant authority is needed to remove overgrown trees at the back alley of some houses at Green Heights Lorong 4D1.

The trees are growing out of a retaining wall just above a commercial car showrooms plot of land below the houses.

Residents fear the roots may cause irreversible damage to the retaining wall, which may be dangerous if left untended over the long haul.

In addition, with the trees growing over the safety rail and onto the back alley, that particular section is full of red ants, not to mention it could also become a dark and shady spot for unsavoury characters to hang around, said a resident, who declined to be named.

The back alley connects from one end of the row of terrace houses at Lorong 4D1 to the other end at Lorong 4D.
