Workers from HTM Construction prepare a machine to drill holes for micro-piles along Crags Drive on Wednesday. The crews are stabilizing the road before repairing the retaining wall that fell during the September flood. The rubble of the wall is one of the more visible remnants of damage caused by the flooding. (Walt Hester / Trail-Gazette)

A flood repair project is underway to build a temporary retaining wall to stabilize the adjacent roadway until permanent repairs can be made. Crews will also be removing an old retaining wall. Work will take place from7 .a.m -7 p.m.(daylight hours) and is expected to be complete byMarch 31.

During repairs, most work will be on the shoulders but traffic reduction may be required to allow one lane in each direction. Please watch for flaggers and drive safely in the construction zone. Kraemer and Sons is the contractor for CDOT.
