November 5, 2012 - Council Meeting Highlights A public meeting was held respecting stopping up and closing, declaring surplus and disposing of municipal property described as Lane PL 184. The Police Chief and Chair of the Police Services Board provided an update on Police Services activities. Catherine Keleher outlined Victim Services of Bruce Grey Owen Sound and their Seniors Safety Project. Mayor Haswell presented facade grants to Central Westside United Church, St. George #39;s Anglican Church and David and Kathleen Morris. City Council received correspondence from Genivar Inc. respecting the selection of a consultant for the Owen Sound Wastewater Treatment Plant Project. City Council authorized the execution of two agreements with the Bluewater District School Board for use of the Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre for a Hockey Canada Skills Academy Program for WHSS and OSCVI. City Council adopted the revised Disposition of Land By-law. City Council authorized the Mayor and Clerk to execute an encroachment agreement with Grey Bruce Property Rentals respecting a portion of a parking lot at 484 11th Street #39;A #39; West. City Council authorized the Mayor and Clerk to execute an encroachment agreement with Deborah Haswell and Dianne Mattice respecting a retaining wall and raised flower bed at 236 5th Street East.
