During very heavy rain Jalan Lembah Pinus becomes too dangerous to pass along because the force of the water is so strong. If a child or a domestic animal were to fall into the water they would have no chance of surviving. Even an adult would struggle. During the rainy season heavy rain is experienced every two or three days - sometimes daily. It can be imagined what damage is being done to the banks of the stream between Jalan Lembah Pinus and the Kali Pesanggrahan river by the volume of water that surges through. The footpath leading to the jogging track has been completely eroded, as has most of the retaining wall on the north side of the stream.
