DULUTH, Minn.--Remodeling changes could soon be underway for the Duluth Public Library.

An architect firm presented the Duluth City Council with four remodeling options Monday night.

The options range from minor renovations to the Superior Street building to a complete rebuild.

Keith Hamre, The city's Director of Planning and Construction Services said all of the presented options are costly, but necessary measures that need to be taken.

"When you look at the cost of refurbishing the current building, whether it's the minor upgrade or the major upgradeit's pretty close to, if not the same as building a new building," said Hamre.

The estimated price tag ranges from $27 million dollars, which would cover improvements... to $34 million dollars for a new facility.

The City Council will discuss renovation options at a February 9th meeting.
