We use LOW LOW pressure system that is MADE to remove roof mold so no shingles are damaged what so ever. The mold on the roof DOES NOT hold to the surface like it does with vinyl siding or concrete so this actually makes it easily removable with with our LOW LOW pressure system. Using any type of corrosive liquid like bleach will indeed damage shingles. Liquids also will just hide (bleach it out) the mold and NOT remove it. The way we do this, it removes the mold. If you don #39;t remove the mold and instead bleach it out the mold will still be there and will return faster than if we actually removed it. REMEMBER.....the mold is caused by the LIMESTONE inside the shingles and not always but sometimes come back but i will say this, we have done several, and i mean several roofs 3 or 4 years ago and to this day they still do not have roof mold on them.
