CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A 27-year-old man is in jail on felony theft charges after police said he stole dozens of packages off front porches in a West Side neighborhood.

Michael Blatnica, of Cleveland, is being held on $15,000 bond after his late Tuesday arrest. Police receivedreports of suspicious packages at Blatnica's West 125th Street home, police spokesman Sgt. Ali Pillow said.

Officers found several packages with different addresses near garbage cans at Blatnica's home. Then they searched the garage and found several more packages, Pillow said.

A woman whose name and address were on one of the packages confirmed with detectives that the package belonged to her, Pillow said.

Blatnica is accused of driving around the neighborhood and swiping delivered packages left on front porches.

Blatnica appeared in Cleveland Municipal Court Friday, where a judge set his bond and sent his case to a grand jury.
