BUKIT AMAN: The family of an enraged plumber, who was gunned down by the police, filed a complaint on Friday urging an immediate investigation into the incident.

The complaint was lodged at the Federal Complaints/Record Unit, IGP Secretariat (Integrity/Disciplinary), by Loh Kim Hiong's father Tiam Luk, 60, and his brother Yuen Fei, 35, around 10am.

"So far, there's no action taken by the police over the incident. This is nothing but a trigger-happy case and we demand a thorough investigation.

"I lost a son and I can never get him back," said Tiam Luk.

The two were accompanied by Bukit Katil MP Shamsul Iskandar, Ayer Keroh state assemblyman Khoo Poay Tiong and Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng.

Last Friday, Kim Hiong, 38, had confronted his neighbour at a flat in Machap Baru new village with a knife for allegedly prying open his window to peep on the latter's wife.

By the time police arrived, Loh had returned to his unit, also located on the second floor, and locked himself inside.

However, at about 9pm, Loh came down armed with two knives that he flashed at several people and a team of policemen, who were assigned to monitor him.

He then got on his motorcycle and rode to a plantation nearby with policemen following and urging him to put down the knives.

Alor Gajah district police chief Supt Mohamad Laham said Loh was shot when he tried to attack the policemen.
