It was reported by the BBC that the company, which is part of the Pennon Group plc, plans to put 20 million of the figure towards improving sewers and treatment works in Cornwall, Devon and Dorset in locations such as Mothecombe, Teignmouth, Torbay, Looe and Lyme Regis. 30 million of the budget is to be spent on maintaining 6,000 km of sewers, with 10 million on customer debt and assistance programmes. The project is being funded through efficiency savings, but is not to affect household bills.
