Alterra, an environmentally responsible pest control company with offices in San Jose, recently hosted a charity dance party to assist the United Nations Foundation, Nothing but Nets, an organization that provides insecticide-treated bed nets to help millions of others in underdeveloped countries.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) December 24, 2012

To date, the Nothing but Nets organization has already sent over 6.8 million bed nets to underdeveloped countries around the world, in an effort to stop the spread of malaria by way of mosquito bites. Noticing this noble effort on the part of the United Nations foundation, Alterra Pest Control jumped at getting involved.

Charity is a big part of our company culture, noted Alterras CEO, David Royce. We are passionate about the difference this organization is making, therefore, were proud to support the effort. In fact, Alterra dedicates a portion of all company profits annually to the Nothing but Nets campaign.

More than just talk, Alterra acted by recently hosting a benefit dance party at their corporate warehouse. Amazingly, over 2,000 college students packed the walls to support the cause; enjoying free products from sponsors like Monster Energy Drink, Skull Candy, People Water, Cassette Eyewear, Milo Sport, Sammys Caf and Kisstixx.

Upping the ante, party attendees also received a surprise acoustic concert by Neon Trees front man, Tyler Glenn, where he played solo acoustic versions of the groups hit songs Animal and Everybody Talks, both of which have topped the charts nationally in 2012.

This enormous dance party benefiting Nothing but Nets was certainly a grand gesture by Alterra, however, it is only the tip of the iceberg as far as their charitable acts are concerned. Alterra has many more plans to serve on a local level this holiday season, including Alterra employees joining forces with Jennie Dudley at Eagle Ministries to feed the homeless in downtown Salt Lake City throughout December.
