A lesbian couple is pleading for their apartment management to let them out of their lease after someone carved gay slurs into their front and back patio doors.

The couple said they can't afford to break their lease.

Kaitlyn Pulliam said she fears someone will get hurt before management does something to help their situation.

She said she was showering in the middle of the day when someone tried to break in through the back window. So far San Antonio police have responded to two incidents.

"It went from one door to someone breaking in," Pulliam said. "What's the next step? Is it physical?" she asked.

Pulliam and her girlfriend have been dating for more than two years and live together at the Dymaxion apartments in the 7900 block of Potranco.
