T O find a brand new build house in what has to be one of the best commuter towns in the area is a noteworthy event in itself and to find one built to this standard is even rarer.

But that is the opportunity created by Hilary Parry and her partner, Ian Brandrick, who bought this plot in Alsager and built a four-bedroom house on it. This is not the first time they have done such a project, in fact they have successfully done a few in recent years. But what makes this one a bit different is that they designed and built it with the idea of living in themselves and that, as Hilary explained, means that they perhaps put a bit more into it.

She said: "We have done a few houses now and obviously we pay a great deal of attention to our standards and the quality of the workmanship, but we put the best of the best into this one. Ian and I planned to live in it but we have now changed our minds which means that there is now an opportunity for someone to buy a superb, brand new family home in a great location."

The property is off Crewe Road and is a three-storey design with some truly stunning features.

You walk in from the driveway into the entrance hall, which has useful understairs storage and a cloakroom/wc off to the right, and to the left is a lovely bay-fronted lounge which is light and its modern features set the tone for the rest of the house.

Mounted on the wall is a very contemporary, remotely controlled electric fire, which has ambient lighting, and you can alter the setting to change it from a log effect to a coal one, and there is provision for a wall-mounted TV too.

Even in its unfurnished state it is an impressive room but what lies behind the double doors in the far wall is even more so, because you walk through into a truly spectacular kitchen diner.

This is an incredible room, L-shaped with a very high-end kitchen at one end, an area that would lend itself very nicely to a seating space at the other, and a fabulous 'garden' room with patio doors to the decking beyond, which will make a great dining area. Hilary says: "We designed this to be a great 'cook and chat' room, with a super kitchen, plenty of daylight and a seating area.

"As well as that, with the double doors to the lounge open there is more than 40 feet from the bay window at the front to the back of the garden room, so it is a good layout for entertaining even in the winter, and more so in the summer with the patio doors open to the back garden."
