Known as one of the most popular and favorite places to eat in town, and arguably throughout the state of Wyo. for that matter, The Pizza Place is preparing, day by day to re-open its doors. A fiery blaze claimed the restaurant back in Oct. of 2013. Owner, Brad Wagner, reports that the new architect plans have been approved earlier this month. Wagners brother, Brent, of Wagner Architecture, designed the new eaterys layout. The process has been slow, and even slower for those wanting a delicious homemade pizza pie, but rest assured, it is coming along. I hope to open by the end of Feb., Wagner said. There will be some new seating added, along with a covered patio. The Pizza Place has had many patrons walk through their doors including U.S. Senator Mike Enzi. It has been ranked in the 50 states 50 pizzas on the website ZAGAT and also featured on USA TODAYs 51 great pizza parlors. Some of the locals would have to agree, Its the best pizza anywhere around!! Ive never heard of anyone who didnt like it, said Tricia Miller. Kresta Leimser of Lusk also added, Sometimes you know, you get tired of cooking, and its somewhere good where we can take Hudson [our son]. Erin Hodge, also of Lusk, likes to take her family there as well. We love the pizza. As the saying goes, all good things come to those who wait, and lots of people are waiting for The Pizza Place to re open its doors.
