This year there are plenty of new color palettes available from painting companies. Last year was a year of bold colors. The colors from this year tend to be a bit more somber. When combined with the right colors, though, these can really pop. Combining blues and yellows and greens, for example can make a truly stylish and unique design inside your home.

Over all, Michigan painting contractors are seeing a lot of demand for the primary colors this yearred, blue, and yellow. Red is a bold color that can be romantic, especially when the lights are turned low and shadows play against the red hues. At the same time, red can help to enhance energy and emotion in a room, providing a quaint, rich feeling in the rooms where that is the primary color. Reds must be balanced out, however, and this is most often done with much lighter colors, such as a stark white.

Blue colors in paint this year have taken a turn toward lighter hues such as Stratton Blue, Frank Blue, Calypso, or Waterfall. These help promote a calming energy in the room. They also provide a more open or spacious feel. With yellow tones, both bright and more toned down hues are popular, but they are balancedboth with lighter and darker colors. These tend to promote positive feelings and energy within the room, and are popular partially because of how many different color combinations they will work with.
