After what has been the most miserable spring known to man, were finally due some nicer (and more importantly, drier) weather edging into June or so say meteorologists.
With indoor socialising back on the cards, you might be considering making changes in your home to give it a new lease of life for summer. After all, if youve spent the past year working and living there, youre probably craving a reset.
But without forking out loads on major renovations, how can you give your interiors an upgrade? We asked interior designers and home stylists for their top tips.
1. Switch to lightweight textiles
If your home is full of dark and heavy textiles (like that thick grey fleece blanket strewn over your sofa) it might be time to invest in some lighter weight ones.
You can do this by changing your throws, cushions and bed linen to lighter and fresher fabric, such as linen or bamboo, says Katie Thomas, founder of interior design company KTM Design. She also recommends changing heavy winter curtains to sheer curtains to let the light in and allow air circulation.
2. Bring in natural pieces
Switching up home accessories is a cheap and cheerful way of bringing some newness and those much-needed summer vibes to your home. Thomas recommends opting for accessories made from natural materials such as wicker, rattan, linen, jute and light wood.
3. Mess with mirrors
Mirrors are a great way to make rooms feel brighter, especially if positioned well, says Sarah-Jayne Garman, an interior designer and founder of Revamp. If your room doesnt include a mirror, get one on the wall.
For added light, hang your mirror directly opposite the window, says Garman the room will feel much bigger and spacious if you do! Or, she says, if you have a console table in the hallway, add a mirror above it. For a bit of creativity, group various mirrors together on one wall.
4. Freshen things up with flowers and plants
Another cheap option for livening up your home is to bring in flowers and plants. Vases filled with summer blooms will enhance a room and fill it with a lovely scent, says Rebecca Dupere, of Dupere Design. And if you prefer to leave the flowers in their place outside, silk flowers are a good, eco-friendly substitute.
5. Update your doorknobs
One way to give old furnishings a new lease of life like kitchen cupboards, old fitted wardrobes and chest of drawers is to replace the handles on them.
Use light-coloured materials that nicely accompany the bright summer days and nights, advises Marc Husband, product design lead at Leader Doors. Dont be afraid to play around with materials that remind you of your favourite summer locations, for instance, stones and shells from the beach.
Dont have any handles to replace? Try replacing hardware like white plastic sockets and switches with trendier versions in brass or black, instead.
6. Hang up your pictures
If youve got a pile of framed prints that have been gathering dust, nows the time to hang them up products like Command strips can be useful for hanging artwork if you live in rented accommodation.
British designer Benjii Lewis loves a gallery wall with a vibrant backdrop. An assortment of artwork in a variety of mediums works brilliantly on an accent wall, says Lewis, founder of Zoom That Room.
When you plan your gallery wall, lay the items you wish to hang on the floor and figure out what works best where. If the frames dont match it doesnt matter, adds the designer. Think about mixing an antique oil painting with a pair of contemporary prints, a set of watercolours and a textile, he advises.
7. Light it up
Lighting can be a fairly inexpensive way to liven up a room the simplest act of changing a ceiling light or lampshade can make a massive difference.
Select light shades with designs such as pastel shades, natural materials (rattan, bamboo) and tropical motifs, says Jamie Moxey, a design consultant for lighting company Dusk. Fixing shades to compatible ceiling lights can help shift the feel of the room, particularly when finished with matching accessories such as a pastel throw or a decorative wooden bowl for the coffee table.
For the outdoors, invest in some festoon lights to instantly give your garden that festival feel.
8. Move your furniture around
The most inexpensive tip of all is to simply work with what youve got. Athina Bluff, founder of Topology Interiors, explains: A small shift in the position of furniture can have a huge impact on the way you use and enjoy the space.
If you havent already, she recommends pulling your furniture away from the walls. We have a tendency to put everything up against a wall but sometimes creating a flow of movement around a sofa in the centre of a room can transform a space, she says.
9. Play with colour
Whether its painting a wall, some old furniture or home accessories that need a new lease of life, experimenting with colour can bring a fresh yet daring approach to your interiors, says designer Benjii Lewis. He recommends a bold choice of blending pistachio with soft pink, turquoise, lilac and yellow sorbet.
The trick with a pastel colour palette is to work on colour tones and be unafraid of including a little clash here and there soft red works brilliantly with dusty pink for example, he says. For the less daring, use pastel colours as accents only scheme a grey room with interesting textures and then accessorise with duck egg blue cushions or add a lavender velvet armchair.
10. Change up those curtains (and cushions)
Replacing cushions and/or curtains is a great way to update a room youre bored of looking at. Adele Shotton-Pugh, interior designer at Terrys, says curtains can change the feel of a space, particularly if you introduce colour or pattern. By changing up your window treatments, youre able to inject some personality into a room, without having to overhaul the entire dcor and therefore blow the budget, she says.
Her advice is to look for patterns that complement the existing dcor, whilst choosing something new that will make an impact. Florals and botanical prints are having a real moment in the interiors world right now and are sure to completely change the feel of your space, she says.
11. Try self-adhesive flooring
If your bathroom or kitchen tiles are looking a little lacklustre, Shotton-Pugh nods to shops like Homebase and B&Q, which sell a huge selection of self-adhesive floor tiles these are both low cost and easy to use.
By simply peeling and sticking, youre able to completely transform the look of a space without having to break the budget, or make a mess, she says.
12. Declutter
Clutter can make a room feel small, so spend time paring back your kitchen worktops and decluttering your home. Jenna Choate and Mariana Ugarte, co-founders of Interior Fox, recommend stowing away used chopping boards, tired looking utensils and too many cookbooks. Instead, they advise placing out a select few cookery books and adding a vase of your favourite foliage.
Melissa Bodie, co-founder of Melissa + Miller Interiors, suggests curating items carefully throughout your home. One of the best ways to feel the home is fresh is by editing as in, donating your items. Try to have an editorial eye when it comes to removing pieces. If it doesnt make you happy, its time to give it to someone for whom it will.
13. Give your grouting a refresh
Mouldy or discoloured grouting instantly makes a room look unclean. If yours is in a state, Dave Gordon, general manager and DIY expert at SGS Engineering, recommends investing in a grout pen (these only cost around 5).
Scrub at your existing grouting with a warm cloth and some washing up liquid, he says. Wipe the tiles down and ensure everything is dry. Apply your grout pen take your time. If you make a mistake, wipe it away quickly. Apply two coats if needed.

Paramount Group has tapped Kohn Pedersen Fox for an extensive modernization of the lobby and public atrium at 60 Wall Street in Manhattans Financial District. The project is envisioned as a requisite improvement to attract top-tier commercial tenants looking to base and build their future offices within the building.
The 47-story office tower was completed in 1989 and comprises 1.6 million square feet. Designed by Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo & Associates, the structures two-story atrium features marble grids, mirrored ceilings, palm trees, and other postmodern embellishments not representative of modern interior aesthetics.
Architectural renderings reveal new triple-height windows, the addition of a skylight to facilitate the flow of natural light into the atrium, and installation of what will be the largest indoor green wall in North America. Elegant white and tan marbling with be installed throughout the lobby and atrium with designer light fixtures and recessed LED lighting at the foot and pinnacle of supporting columns. The scope of work also includes the addition of a new restaurant and caf.

Existing access to the 2 and 3 subway lines at Wall Street Station will be flanked by the lush living wall with the new dining spaces above.
By opening up the atrium, infusing it with greenery, bringing in natural light, and visually uniting the two streets, we aim to bring the people of this neighborhood together where hopefully they will share ideas and chart the path to the future, said Kohn Pedersen Fox Design principal Hugh Trumbull, AIA.
As it stands, the building is already in compliance with LEED Gold sustainable standards for a high-rise building, and features the largest solar photovoltaic array in Manhattan on its roof. Additional improvements to the office floors include enhanced ventilation systems that utilize high-efficiency MERV-15 filtration and an increased flow of outside air into the building.
Situated in a neighborhood rich with restaurants and transit options, the building further appeals to tenants employee pool, said Albert Behler, Paramount chairman, CEO, and president. The repositioning will transform 60 Wall Street, providing tenants with the benefits of a new building and the opportunity to create an office that best suits their unique needs.

To retain new building tenants, Paramount has tapped CBRE as its exclusive leasing partner.
Construction is expected to begin summer 2022.

Ana Pelayo Connery, USA TODAY's "Home" magazine Published 12:34 p.m. ET May 20, 2021 | Updated 12:57 p.m. ET May 20, 2021
Tired of that empty backyard? We've got you covered with these tips. USA TODAY
After stay-at-home orders took effect last year, homeowners began making their way toward their patios, porches, backyards and balconies any spot where they could extend their living space while enjoying fresh air and privacy. As a result, outdoor spaces became oases gardens were planted, hammocks were hung and patio furniture was set up to mimic the look of indoor rooms.
It was the year of the outdoors, and Im sure it will continue into 2021, says Mary Maydan, principal of Maydan Architects in Palo Alto, Calif. In a way, COVID has changed outdoor living. Everyone is noticing how much they want their outdoors to be appealing and connecting. A lot of experiences that until now weve mostly had inside have moved outside. With restaurants restricting indoor dining and many entertainment venues closed, the backyard is now a way of going out.
Tara L. Paige, a mom of two living in Dallas, says when the pandemic hit, her attention immediately drifted to theoutdoors, in part because she needed a break from having her entire family home around the clock. With everything halted, I decided to tackle the patio as a way to get outside of our four walls.
Sprucing up her outdoor space was something shed been meaning to do, but never seemed to have the chance until the pandemic gave her the gift of time. We bought our 9-acre forever home last year, in part because it had a beautiful front porch, a side patio and a back patio, she says. Suddenly, I had all the time in the world to make the most of it.
In April 2020, Paiges new hobby inspired her to launch the Black Women Who Love Outdoor Living Spaces Facebook group as a way to document her progress and connect with like-minded women. In just a couple of months, the page had more than 200,000 followers. Soon after, she launched The Patio Chic, a website where she and other outdoor enthusiasts share makeover and DIY projects for their balconies, decks, sheds and other exterior spaces.
Paiges first pandemic project involved spray-painting an old patio set and adding new cushions. A can of spray paint is like pixie dust for DIYers, she says. You can spray-paint something and give it an entirely new look even if you dont want to go through the process of sanding and scraping. Its easy.
Think of an outdoor lounge area in the same way you would think about your indoor spaces.
The key to making the most of any outdoor space, she says, is to make it feel like home. Think of an outdoor lounge area in the same way you would think about your indoor spaces, Paige says. From pillows to lighting, its the details that make the space comfortable. Even indoor pillows can be sprayed down with Scotchgard, so they become water-resistant. Just make sure you flip cushions over regularly to prevent (insect) nesting and fading.
You're finally ready to host that party: Should you ask guests about their vaccine status?
More: Getting back to simple summertime fun without pests
She also recommends anchoring your outdoor lounge or dining space with a rug, just like youd do indoors. Im not a fan of plastic rugs because theyre so lightweight that the wind just blows them, so I use a regular rug and just spray it down with a fabric protector.
Having the right lighting is also important. It really sets the mood, Paige says. Im a huge fan of solar lighting because it gives the right amount of glow at night, so you can still see people and move around. I even have a solar chandelier hanging from a tree over my outdoor table.
Another simple way to take your outdoor space to the next level is to think about the sounds youd like to hear when youre outside. Consider adding a soothing water feature like a fountain. Its a pretty inexpensive way to add another layer to your outdoor space, Paige says. For podcast and music lovers, outdoor speakers with Bluetooth technology make it easy to listen while outdoors.
As high-impact as simple changes can be, some homeowners have chosen to tackle bigger projects that require construction. Among the most popular are outdoor kitchens. Were not just talking about space to grill, but also space for a sink and a stove, basically everything but a dishwasher, Maydan says. Its like people are thinking about how to move their whole lives outside.

Gardens and greenhouses have also gained popularity, with some retailers reporting record sales last year. Its not the first time Americans have turned to Mother Earth to help them get through a crisis. During World War I and World War II, Victory Gardens sprouted because of food shortages. Today, the pandemic has morphed the farm-to-table movement into the yard-to-table movement, with vegetable gardens sprouting in yards everywhere. Its a way to connect with nature, be creative and deal with stress, too, says Paige. Gardening is also a great activity for all ages, providing a way to bond with loved ones.
For those living in regions with a wide range of temperatures, greenhouses make year-round gardening possible. People think of them as a warm place, so why not create a heated sitting area as a way to get you outside during the winter, Maydan says.
Record sales of patio heaters and fire pits mean more people than ever are enjoying the night skies. One thing I like to do is create multiple areas for different activities, so you might have a sitting area with a fire pit for smores in one corner and a reading nook or stargazing spot in another, Paige says.
Wherever you have sitting areas, Maydan says its important to have easy access to them. Try using steppingstones to make a path, she says.

When it comes to adding trees, shrubs and flowers, look at the areas where you might want privacy or shade year-round and plant accordingly. This way youll always have privacy, comfort and something beautiful to look at.
Whether you decide to make changes that are big, small or something in between, theres never been a better time to make the most of your outdoor
space.

More than 1,000 athletes will practice, train and play games there each week. Construction will begin this Fall 2021 and the target opening is September 2022.
Chesterfield Sports Association (CSA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, will own andoperate the facility, which will fill a major need for court space in St. Louis.
This is much more than an athletic center, it is a life center and a place these young athletes can call home, said Stuart Duncan, Director at Chesterfield Sports Association. Along with giving young basketball and volleyball athletes a location to play their sports, our mission is to offer them a place to gain confidence, trust, self-esteem and good health.
The primary tenants and partners are:
Missouri Phenom Basketball has a heavy focus on the development of youth both on the court and off, said Brittany Carter, Regional Coordinator at Missouri Phenom Basketball. We pride ourselves on building character and leadership from the grassroots level. This facility will allow us to have a space to call our ownand continue to grow not only the Phenom Family, but the community as well.
Nine basketball courts like the one shown in the photo, left, will convert to 18 volleyball courts and be equipped with Olympic level flooring, professional grade LED lighting and HD/4K streaming cameras. Additional amenities include a fitness area; multipurpose rooms for team rooms, meetings, and classes; comfortable spectator seating courtside and from a second-floor mezzanine; lounge areas and concessions. The architect is mw Weber Architects. The general contractor is Keystone Construction Company and the civil engineer is Stock & Associates Consulting Engineers, Inc.
The fieldhouse will offer the full range of youth sport services and amenities to develop student athletes to meet their fullest potential. CSA plans to work with local organizations to offer community health and wellness programs and will partner with physical therapists and orthopedic specialists to assist with athletes conditioning and training.
We have a rich sports history in St. Louis with great facilities for professional athletes, but we are one of the worst large cities for indoor youth facilities, said Scott Mebruer, Club Director at High Performance STL Volleyball Club. This is the only facility in the St. Louis region that is going to be built from the ground up, meant and purposefully built for young athletes in these sports. Every other facility was something else, never with the purpose of it being for volleyball or basketball. This is going to be powerful in how it impacts many individuals beyond our sports clubs.
While 80% of available court time will be used by the current primary partners, over 10,000 hours of court time is available per year. CSA is in talks with potential major university partners and other organizations to offer daytime programming. Chesterfield Sports Association is seeking partners and donors who are dedicated to growing and supporting youth athletics in St. Louis in exchange for facility naming opportunities and other recognition. In addition to hosting volleyball and basketball clinics, camps, leagues and tournaments, the facility could be used for pickleball, futsal, wrestling, dance, cheer and other sports as space is available.
This sports complex will be a center of recreation, community life and economic activity. St. Louis will finally get the world-class youth sporting facility it deserves, said Tom Kaimain, Founding Principal of Mia Rose Holdings (MRH). I am honored to be part of this amazing coalition of sporting organizations and to help bring this incredibly important vision to reality for Chesterfield and St. Louis. In addition to multi-family and mixed-use developments, MRH has a strong niche developing and consulting for athletic facilities, including the Maryville University Hockey Center in Chesterfield Valley. This expertise grew out of Kaimans professional hockey career.
Most indoor basketball and volleyball facilities in St. Louis are operated by private and public schools and municipal governments. These facilities have significant limitations and liability concerns for hosting outside players and organizations, which has only increased during the coronavirus pandemic. None of the larger existing indoor court facilities was designed for volleyball and basketball, and many are 30 to 40 years old with failing infrastructure, poor ventilation systems, insufficient lighting, substandard flooring, insufficient seating and inadequate dimensions for safe and enjoyable play.
Due to the lack of safe and adequate facilities locally, local basketball and volleyball clubs currently must use multiple locations to meet their needs and tournament organizers turn to bigger venues in other Midwestern cities. In fact, Gateway Region Volleyball, the local chapter of USA Volleyball, has needed to move several large weekend events from local facilities to Cape Girardeaus new 12-court facility over two hours away.
The lack of local and quality facilities creates unnecessary obstacles and lost opportunities for local tournament organizers and businesses, as well as for players and their families who must travel out of town to participate, said Duncan. This new facility will alleviate that burden for athlete families.
A major economic driver, the sports complex will generate jobs for coaches, referees, trainers, concession and maintenance workers, and will bring local and out-of-town guests to the area to generate economic activity for local restaurants, hotels and retail establishments. CSA is purchasing land for potential future expansion.

The world has a major food problem.
Here it is a nutshell: We may not have enough food to feed people by 2050.
Yep. You heard that right. And no, Im not an alarmist or a pessimist. Rather, Im a natural optimist but Im also realistic about the problem our planet is facing when it comes to an enormous and inevitable food shortage.
There will be nearly 10 BILLION people on Earth by 2050. In order to feed all those people, the United Nations estimates that global food production will need to increase by at least 50% over the next 30 years.
But foods need water to grow, and already, 70% of the worlds freshwater supply is dedicated to agriculture. Plus, the amount of rain that falls down to Earth every year is steadily decreasing thanks to climate change.
Foods also need the right temperatures to grow, and steadily rising temperatures across the globe are significantly and adversely impacting crop yields.
And, lastly, foods need land to grow. But, due to climate change, the rate of agricultural soil erosion is up to 100X higher than the rate of agricultural soil formation these days, and 23% of land areas have become less productive farmland because of land degradation.
Folks if traditional farming does not change we will need a second Earth to feed the worlds population.
And, as the old saying goes, there is no Planet B.
There is only one way forward here. We need to advance traditional farming techniques to be more efficient, more eco-friendly, and less reliant on external conditions.
How? By leveraging technology to create high-tech indoor farming greenhouses.
Indoor farming is nothing new. Growing plants, fruits, and veggies indoors has been a concept as old as time itself. But it wasnt until recently thanks to technological advancements in AI, lighting, hydroponics, and automation that we could create large-scale, high-tech greenhouses which could reliably, effectively, and cheaply feed the planet.
That time has finally arrived.
AgTech startups like Square Roots, Plenty, and AeroFarms are all creating large-scale indoor farming facilities across America to help proactively solve the coming food shortage crisis.
Forget EVs. Forget AI. Forget self-driving cars. THIS is the next big industry.
And yet, no one is talking about it today which means that you have a unique opportunity to invest in this burgeoning industry first
Today, we will tell you about the single best stock to buy to play this completely underrated yet world-changing investment megatrend. When all is said and done, we truly believe that todays stock pick could end up being one of the biggest winners of the 2020s.
Every industry has a titan a 400-pound gorilla that leveraged certain technological, strategic, and/or financial advantages to dominate the industry at scale.
In electric vehicles, you have Tesla(NASDAQ:TSLA).
In e-commerce, you have Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN).
In streaming TV, you have Netflix(NASDAQ:NFLX).
In social media, you have Facebook(NASDAQ:FB).
And, in indoor farming, you have AppHarvest (NASDAQ:APPH).
Now, to be clear, AppHarvest is not the 400-pound gorilla in the indoor farming industry yet but the company has what it takes to one day be the undisputed titan of this transformational industry.
Heres the story.
AppHarvest is an ag-tech company based in eastern Kentucky that was founded with the vision of creating a series of high-tech farming greenhouses to sustainably feed America.
The company utilizes leading-edge controlled environment agriculture technology to create large-scale hydroponic growing facilities that produce 30X higher yields than traditional farming, while using up to 90% less water (and only recycled rainwater at that).
The facilities are operational all year around, are not dependent on weather, have zero ecological waste from runoff or soil usage, and are entirely U.S.-based (whereas over 50% of all current fruits and vegetables are imported, opening them up to being less fresh and subject to supply chain disruptions).
These facilities are simply a much better way to farm than the status quo.
AppHarvest opened up its first indoor farming facility a 60-acre facility located in Morehead, Kentucky focused on sustainably growing tomatoes in late 2020. The facility has been producing vegetables since January.
The company has broken ground on its second and third facilities, both of which are also in Kentucky, and plans to launch an additional nine large-scale hydroponic greenhouses by 2025 bringing the total number to 12 facilities.
The growth plans here are ambitious. But, if management can execute, then by 2025, AppHarvest will have morphed into the dominating force in the U.S. indoor farming industry.
We have high confidence in managements ability to execute for a few reasons.
First off, we like the management team. You have a founder/CEO guy leading the team, who is a homegrown Kentucky product, that went to the University of Kentucky, and whom exudes this feel-good story that investors will want to support, partners will want to work with, and folks will want to work for.
Second, we like the story. AppHarvest is consistently pounding on the table about how they are going to replenish Americas heartland, and give back jobs to the great Appalachian territory that was ravaged once the coal industry went under. Considering the vigor that the Made in America and Bring Jobs Back to America movements have, this focus on recreating jobs for the middle class and reestablishing supply chains in America should help the company accelerate business momentum. Its the perfect story, at the perfect time.
Third, we think the technology is hard to replicate. AppHarvest is integrating partner technology solutions like an AI system from Koidra, LED lights from Philips, energy screens form Svensson, nanobubble tech from Moleaer, and more in a hard-to-replicate way that creates what we think is a durable performance moat. We do not believe that many other companies will be able to produce as much yield for at little resources as AppHarvest, now or anytime soon.
Fourth, we think theres a huge geography advantage here. By building its growing facilities in Kentucky, AppHarvest has put its produce within a single days drive of 70% of the U.S. population in an industry where produce is consistently traveling for multiple days across borders.
Fifth, we believe in the Mastronardi advantage. Mastronardi is a leading distributor of produce to grocery stores in America. Theyve already signed a big agreement with AppHarvest, meaning AppHarvest has visible distribution into Kroger, Walmart, Costco, Target, Trader Joes, Safeway, Whole Foods, etc.
Sixth, we are fans of the balance sheet. AppHarvest is flush with $464 million in cash on the balance sheet, which is of incredible importance in a capex-intensive industry like indoor farming (the company estimates that each facility will cost ~$100 million to build).
Overall, we think AppHarvest has what it takes to turn into the unrivaled leader in the soon-to-be-huge indoor farming industry and yet, AppHarvest is worth just $1.5 billion today.
The long-term upside potential here is enormous.
And thats why AppHarvest stock deserves to be on your buy radar today.

The new Kipling Transit Hub offers connections between GO Transit, MiWay and TTC and features a 48,000-square-foot green roof.
Metrolinx
Metrolinx completed the Kipling Transit Hub, where riders in Torontos west region can connect to GO Transit, MiWay bus and Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) services at a single location in Etobicoke, Ontario.
The transit connections offered at the new Kipling Transit Hub will provide residents with better access to job and housing opportunities, both locally and across the Greater Golden Horseshoe, said Ontario Minister of Transportation Caroline Mulroney.
Ontario Associate Minister of Transportation (GTA) Kinga Surma added, By supporting communities and delivering a seamless transit experience, we will meet the needs of the over five million people who will call this region home by 2051.
The new facility has 14 bus bays, 90 bike spaces, an elevated pedestrian bridge connecting the GO train platform with the bus terminal and underground tunnels linking the bus terminal to the TTC station.
The 3,000-square-foot indoor waiting area in the bus terminal features heated floors, accessible elevators, digital displays with schedule information, wayfinding signage, enhanced lighting, PRESTO and pay machines, as well as electric phone charging stations. Outside, the hub features a snow melting system on the bus platform, upgrades to the GO train platform (including accessible boarding features), updated pick-up and drop-off building and more than 1,400 parking spaces.
"We have created a seamless transit journey by bringing together all of the transit services customers depend on. With connections to the Milton line, more than 10 bus routes, GO, MiWay and TTC transit providers and express access to the airport, the Kipling Transit Hub will be a new home base as customers travel across the region," said Metrolinx President and CEO Phil Verster.
Metrolinx says Kipling Transit Hub was designed with the goal to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification. The facility has a 48,000-square-foot green roof that was installed last summer and includes 24,000 vegetated modules. Metrolinx says the green roof helps improve the buildings overall energy performance, diverts excess rainwater and helps combat the urban heat island effect.
Sustainable design and construction are now an essential part of environmental stewardship, said Payman Khezri, Metrolinx project manager, project delivery team.
EllisDon Infrastructure Transit was awarded a C$73-million (US$60.5-million) contract in 2018 to design, build and finance the project. Construction began in the fall of 2018.
