Of all the decks in Magic: The Gatherings Universes Beyond: Fallout series, Mutant Menace is the one that leans into the weird, wonderful side of the series the hardest. Dedicated to the bizarre creatures and Mutants that wander the Wasteland, the deck puts the effects of the titular nuclear Fallout on full display.
Youll find cards that push the envelope both visually and mechanically in here, with the brand-new rad counter mechanic facilitating some serious graveyard shenanigans. But which of these cards are likely to put in the most work, both in the deck and beyond? Join us as we sift through the nuclear waste to bring you the cream of the Mutant Menace crop.
You neednt look any further than the continued popularity of Atraxa, Praetors Voice in Commander to see how powerful the proliferate mechanic is in the format. Stacking up extra counters has a wide range of uses, from buffing your creatures to killing your opponents with poison. Agent Frank Horrigan, in theory, lets you do so twice each turn.
This does require Frank to attack each turn, which isnt always ideal, but his indestructible trigger helps a lot with this. He may be nearly twice the price of Atraxa, but green/black decks can easily ramp or reanimate him out early on.
Zombies as a creature type have a seriously stacked list of Lords to work with, but none have quite as high a ceiling as Hancock here. Most Lords cap out at a +1/+1 boost, maybe +2/+1 at a push, but this Ghoulish Mayor can go as high as your counters take him.
This ability doesnt just count +1/+1 counters, either. Keyword counters and Shield counters work too, as well as any other hyper-specific counters you can shuffle onto Hancock via The Ozolith et al. And even with no other synergies, Hancocks undying ensures hes a perfectly serviceable bit of Zombie support on his own.
Its easy to get wrapped up in the rich flavor of Harold and Bob and write the card off as a fun piece of Commander nonsense, but to do so would be to ignore the terrifying implications of a solid three drop that essentially grants you a Black Lotus on death. Of course, the card is great in the mana-hungry Commander format, but it also has potential in the likes of Legacy and Vintage too.
Its comically easy to drop the Numens quickly in said formats, and proceed to sacrifice them for an explosive early game mana boost. From there, you can start dropping Tron staples like Karn Liberated and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon without compromising your mana base.
Board Wipes are so prevalent in Commander that pretty much every deck needs a plan for dealing with them, whether its Heroic Intervention or Teferis Protection. Mutational Advantage offers a similar effect, but with some interesting pros and cons.
To get the bad news out of the way, this card only protects becountered creatures, unlike its aforementioned peers. On the plus side, it also lets you proliferate: an effect that can be worth a few mana in itself depending on the board state. Given how common counter synergies are in blue/green decks, this card is a shoe-in for staple status.
In addition to having some of the most evocative art in the whole Universes Beyond: Fallout set, Nuclear Fallout is also one of the best cards mechanically as well. The lack of text makes it look simple, but this is actually a board wipe, a Mill tool, and a mass Burn spell all in one.
Rad counters are a bit tricky to understand at first, but ultimately it comes down to this: for each rad counter your opponent gets, theyll take that much damage and Mill at least that many cards. Eventually. Pair this up with the -X/-X board wipe effect, which gets around indestructible, and you have a great addition for all kinds of black decks.
Self-Mill effects have long been used to support Reanimator strategies in various Magic formats, but it's rare that the mechanic sees much love beyond that. Well, with the advent of Universes Beyond: Fallout theres a new sheriff in town, and hes got a hankerin for changing all that.
Raul lets you cast one self-Milled card from your graveyard each turn, turning the likes of The Ancient One and Millstone into efficient card advantage generators. He can also tap to enable his own ability, and he packs the Zombie creature type for some nice incidental graveyard synergies to boot.
Cards that give you multiple options tend to perform very well in Commander, and Struggle for Project Purity gives you two serious contenders to choose from. Either it can function as a politically-charged card draw engine, or a major deterrent to opposing hordes.
The beauty of the card comes in choosing the right mode for the current game state. Things fairly quiet creature-wise? Pick Brotherhood and start building up some card advantage. Got some Aggro opponents breathing down your neck? Pick Enclave and see how many cards theyre willing to Mill. In either case, four mana is a killer deal for this kind of ongoing advantage.
Strong, as his name suggests, works perfectly well as a beefy green creature. Growing from damage makes him very big very fast, and ward two makes him tough to remove efficiently. More exciting than this, however, is the possibility of using Strong as a combo piece in a dedicated Self-Mill strategy.
Since he essentially gains +3/+3 each time he takes damage, and gives you three rad counters at the same time, any repeatable ping effect can grow Strong to obscene proportions and Mill your entire deck, opening the doors for a Thassas Oracle win the next turn. Alternatively, you can just Fling your massive Strong at an opponent for a different flavor of instant win.
While it does cost a sizable six mana, Vault 12 is the kind of card that can build you a board almost single handedly. If you get lucky with your rad counter results, it can generate 12 4/4s over three turns, putting you in a dominant position on the battlefield. This is a Christmas Land scenario, of course, but it also doesnt factor in external synergies.
Any other rad counter cards can work wonders with Vault 12, as can any other Zombie token generators, which will benefit from the counters provided by the final chapter. Whether youre playing Zombie Kindred or a Fallout theme deck, Vault 12 has a lot to offer.
As the face card of the Mutant Menace deck, The Wise Mothman was always going to need to be a little bit special to live up to fan expectations. Were happy to report that he certainly is, presenting one of the very best rad counter generators, and rad counter synergies, in the whole set.
Spreading rad counters with each evasive attack, Mothman can get a lot of Mill going real fast, at which point his other ability will buff up your board to impressive proportions. You may not think of go-wide Aggro when you think of the Sultai (black/green/blue) color combination, but spend some time with Mothman and he may just change your mind.

Well, there it is, the update for Roblox has arrived that now forcefully blocks it from working with Wine on Linux systems (like Steam Deck).
It's been a bit of a saga hasn't it? Roblox has always been somewhat iffy to play on Linux, at times being broken while people working on the likes of Grapefruit and Vinegar repeatedly kept up with changes to make it work. The Roblox developers then introducedHyperion anti-cheat software, although they continued to make it work unofficially with Wine but that wasn't to last as a developer explained that it has caused cheating.
Now if you try to run it, you will simply be told "Wine is not supported.":
Despite what you may think of Roblox (and it's historically had plenty of problems) as one of the biggest gaming platforms ever, it's certainly a shame to see it go. There's plenty of people out there that have Roblox as their main thing, and so not being able to do it on Linux is quite a loss.
Any game that intentionally prevents it from working on Linux is a loss as it just increases the uphill battle Linux has as a gaming platform. There's not exactly many accessible alternatives to it for Linux fans.
Know any alternatives for people looking? Let readers know in the comments.

Valve just recently launched a big stable update to the Steam Client for both Steam Deck and Desktop PCs, which has come with one big issue for Steam Deck.
Sadly, it seems Remote Play on Steam Deck is now broken. Trying to play a game from a Linux or Windows host just results in a spinning Steam logo screen on the Steam Deck. Weirdly, in my testing, the Steam Deck did get audio but no visual or input the only choice is to press B to exit the stream.
The thing is, this has been a reported bug since at least February 3rd, when it was noticed from people on the Preview / Beta update channels with multiple confirmed reports.
Hopefully Valve will solve it. Although, other reports have noted that it does work again in the current Release Candidate update available via Developer Options (for the next upcoming major update), which is not meant for any normal users so I wouldn't recommend changing it as enabling the advanced update channels could cause future problems.
Pictured - Steam Big Picture Mode
A shame to see such a useful feature broken in this way. Hopefully Valve will ensure this feature is fully tested when rolling out future updates to the Steam Deck. Remote Play has always bin a bit iffy in my testing, something with it always seems to be broken but this is the first time I've seen it entirely broken like this.

Below Decks Cat Baugh said she wasnt sure whether working on the St. David was the right choice and fellow stew Barbie Pascual doesnt disagree.
I dont think she should have ever signed up for this, Barbie exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, February 29, after filming season 11 with Cat. This is not for her.
Barbie noted that Cat might have needed more experience before joining such a large vessel, adding, I think yachting might [still] be for her. Small yachts and maybe even potentially mega yachts. One day she could climb the ladder there, but this environment was not for her. Thats OK. This is a lot.
Earlier in the season, Cat admitted to chief steward Fraser Olender that she felt overwhelmed after she was assigned to help out everyone on the interior team. She slowly found her stride but the stews not having any ranks caused Cat to question her place on the boat.
Over the years, the Below Deck franchise cast has played coy about their earnings only offering small glimpses about the money they bring home. The hit Bravo series, which debuted in 2013 and has spanned several spinoffs, follows the lives of crew members who work and live on super yachts during charter season. The []
It was an umbrella of everything [for her]. The pressure of being on St. David is not [like] being on any other boat, Barbie said. The pressure is its a lot. And youre working a lot of hours, and it really is not for everybody. I give her grace for that because its really, really hard.
Throughout season 11, viewers have seen Barbie and Cat at odds with Fraserstuck in the middle. While Barbie felt more experienced in a leadership role, Cats attempts to speak up created several fights. Fraser attempted to mediate but that only made his working relationship with Barbie worse.
While speaking with Us, Barbie shared what she would have done differently in her interactions with Cat.
I should have been more sympathetic. But I was doing what needed to be done for the work to be done, she continued. Also I didnt know her story. She never sat down with me. She sat down with Fraser and gave me the chance to be empathetic, so that was another kind of thing.
Rough seas! Viewers have had a front row seat to some of the biggest reality TV feuds since the Below Deck franchise debuted in 2013. The shows spinoff series Below Deck Mediterranean shocked viewers when Hannah Ferrier and Captain Sandy Yawns inability to see eye to eye turned into the most memorable firing to date. []
Cat previously opened up to Fraser about the trauma she experienced from her time in a religious cult.
I was in foster care. My dad passed away when I was nine from Multiple sclerosis. And then my mom passed away when I was 13 just in her sleep. It was very sudden and no [they dont know what it was], she explained in a February episode. So me and my brother were thrown into the system and separated.
Cat was subsequently adopted by a family who didnt want her in contact with her brother.
The family I lived with I dont talk to because they were like a cult religion, she continued. We were [in the same state]. But they wouldnt even let me talk to him because he wasnt religious. It was that extreme of a religion that they wouldnt even let me speak to my own biological brother.
As she got older, Cat made the decision to reconnect with her sibling. Because I wanted to continue a relationship with my biological brother, they were like, No. We dont support that,' she concluded. Once I turned 18, I decided to choose my brother and choose my life. I decided to live for me and thats when I became the most independent. Now me and my brother are so close. Hes like my best friend.
The Below Deck franchise has had its fair share of chaos over the years, but there were some moments that stood out more. During season 7 of the Bravo show, chief stew Kate Chastain and bosun Ashton Pienaar had a scary confrontation when the latter was drunk after a night out. Ashton ended up punching []
Cat discussed in a confessional how her childhood ultimately affected her work ethic.
You have successfully subscribed.
Just growing up with a lot of trauma, it makes you very insecure about yourself. The foster family I was with did a lot of things that made me feel like I was just not perfect, she recalled. You had to be perfect. So how people view my work ethic is very important to me. I dont want to be viewed as weak. It literally makes me have major anxiety.
With reporting by Christina Garibaldi
Below Deck season 11 airs on Bravo Mondays at 9 p.m. ET. New episodes will stream the next day on Peacock.

Hail, Caesar is one of the four preconstructed Commander decks released as a part of Magic: The Gathering's Universes Beyond collaboration with Fallout. The cards in the deck are based around various militaristic factions throughout Fallout such as the namesake Caesar's Legion and the Raiders, Tunnel Snakes, and the Brotherhood of Steel.
The deck is a Mardu (red/white/black) deck that is built around amassing a giant battlefield of tokens. There is also a sub-theme of sacrifice with multiple cards that benefit from creatures dying. The deck introduces many new cards to Magic: The Gathering, many of which can find a home in many different decks.
Mr. House, President And CEO is a creature that cares about dice rolling. It turns all of your dice rolling into a board presence with 3/3 tokens with the potential to ramp you with Treasure tokens as well.
Notably, Mr. House, President And CEO doesn't care about what kind of dice you roll. While the card itself rolls a d6, its effect will still go off if you roll a four or six or higher with a d20, of which many Magic cards can do to easily trigger Mr. House's effects.
Token decks often generate a ton of creature tokens of varying stat lines. Elder Arthur Maxson helps your weaker tokens grow into bigger threats by giving them training. It's easy to keep Elder Arthur Maxson on the battlefield thanks to its effect to give itself indestructible.
Many token decks can also veer into a sacrifice theme, since they make for great sacrifice fodder. Elder Arthur Maxson is a way to trigger all your sacrifice triggers, as it can sacrifice creatures for no mana cost. Although there are better options for this, in a pinch, Elder Arthur Maxson can work just fine.
As with the game, Mysterious Stranger can come out of nowhere and save the day to keep you safe. There is a bit of luck involved with it, as the instant or sorcery it copies is random, but has the potential to turn the tides of a game.
Mysterious Stranger has decent stats as well, making it a good blocker to potentially trade with another creature. The card it copies can also play into it depending on what is in the graveyard. It has a low floor, but a very high ceiling where if the right spell is copied, it could be game-winning.
If you are playing a deck with many ways to put creatures with three or less power on the battlefield, Overseer Of Vault 76 is the card for you. If your deck has weaker creatures, you can easily put quest counters on Overseer Of Vault 76 to later pump up your creatures with +1/+1 counters and give them vigilance so they can block after combat.
Since Overseer Of Vault 76 is so easy to cast, it becomes that much easier to start loading it up with quest counters early in the game. You want to keep putting counters on Overseer Of Vault 76, so you can always use its effect.
Battle Of Hoover Dam gives you two options for an effect it has, both of which are great depending on the deck it's in. Although it can only return creatures with a mana value of three or less, there are many with powerful effects that are worth bringing back if they ever get removed.
While the NCR mode is solid, Legion is much better. Whenever any creature dies, two +1/+1 counters go on a creature. Notably, this isn't once per death, so if multiple creatures die multiple triggers of the effect go on the stack, something sacrifice decks can trigger on their own.
The face commander of the preconstructed deck, Caesar, Legion's Emperor is one of the best cards. It has three different effects that trigger whenever you attack. It's important to note that Caesar, Legion's Emperor itself doesn't need to attack, only see a creature attack to sacrifice a creature to trigger its effect.
It has a wide variety of effects depending on what you need given the gamestate. You can either get a board presence, card advantage, or remove a problem creature. It wants creature tokens for its last effect, so it slots best into a deck running those.
Paladin Elizabeth Taggerdy can cheat out creatures from your hand so long as you're attacking with multiple creatures. The baseline for this effect is a creature with a mana value of three or less, but with stat-boosting cards like Auras or Equipment, the mana value can become much higher.
The creature that Paladin Elizabeth Taggerdy brings out is tapped and attacking, so if they are evasive or threatening attacks they force an answer. This does make Paladin Elizabeth Taggerdy a potential removal target, but giving it protection can let it attack recklessly.
In a creature token deck, Securitron Squadron can grow them into big threats as soon as they enter the battlefield. It gives a +1/+1 counter to a creature token, but this triggers for each copy of Securitron Squadron on the battlefield. Since it has squad, you can get as many copies of Securitron Squadron as you have mana to spend.
Even without using the squad ability, one Securitron Squadron is great for making your weaker tokens into more threatening attackers and blockers. Securitron Squadron is a great mana sink in decks that want to create a ton of tokens.
Craig Boone, Novac Guard is a creature that hangs back and dishes out damage to any creature unless the opponent takes the damage instead. The effect triggers whenever you attack with two or more creatures, but Craig Boone doesn't have to be one of those creatures for the effect to go off.
Since Craig Boone, Novac Guard only costs three mana, it can start getting a ton of quest counters early. It's trivial for Craig Boone to snowball to be able to remove any creature on the battlefield, letting it take care of any threat.
V.A.T.S. is a great removal spell that can't be responded to by any cards thanks to split second. It has the potential to destroy a ton of creatures on the battlefield, so long as they have equal toughness to each other.
While V.A.T.S. is a situational removal spell, it's not uncommon for there to be creatures with the same toughness, especially those with one or two. V.A.T.S. at its worst is an essentially un-counterable removal spell and at its best a borderline board wipe of creatures with the same toughness.

Summary
Below Deck has featured many Chief Stews since 2013, some of whom wont be part of the reality TV drama again. Like Bosuns and Captains, Chief Stews are an important part of any yacht. They manage the team of Stews and ensure the charter guests are satisfied during their stay. Over the last 11 years, many Chief Stews have appeared on Below Deck and showcased their unique management style. Some of them have failed at their jobs, while others have left a mark on the audience, leaving the show as memorable characters.
Kate Chastain is the most notable Chief Stew from Below Deck. She was part of numerous seasons and worked exceptionally well every time she returned. She maintained a great relationship with her crew and Captain Lee Rosbach, setting an example of what being a good Chief Stew is about. Like Kate, Katie Flood, Daisy Kelliher, Aesha Scott, Hannah Ferrier, Christine Bugsy Drake, Heather Chase, Natasha Webb, and a few others were also amazing as Chief Stews in their respective seasons. Unfortunately, despite popular demand, some of them will never return to Below Deck.
Natasha Webb wants nothing to do with Below Deck Mediterranean. The former Chief Stew was a great crew member on Captain Sandy Yawns yacht. She handled her role perfectly and didnt let any issue stop her from fulfilling her duties. The last time Natasha appeared on Below Deck Med, she had a controversial relationship with Chef Dave White. The whole thing left such a bad taste in her mouth that she decided to skip the reunion, and later, she revealed she wouldnt return. Natasha has moved on with her musician boyfriend, Max Landry, since.
Francesca Rubi was another exceptional Chief Stew on Below Deck. She was an irreplaceable part of Captain Lees yacht and deserved to return to season 9. Instead, Francesca ditched the show and will likely never return. Captain Lee weighed in on why the former Chief Stew wouldnt return to the series. According to Monsters And Critics, he confirmed that Bravo didnt ask her to come back. Since her reality TV gig, Francesca has moved on to a new career as a pilates instructor. She seems happy with her new life.
Adrienne Gang also left Below Deck after the very first season. Her reason for leaving the show was more about how Below Deck evolved over the years. Initially, Adrienne was unhappy that Bravo didnt call her back for season 2. However, when she discovered that the show had become more dramatic and less genuine, she was happy she wasn't asked back. Adrienne said (via Cheatsheet),
but now, if this is what Bravo wants? Im okay with it.
The former Chief Stew will likely never return to the Below Deck again because she doesnt like what it has become.
Heather Chase from Below Deck season 9 will also never return to the franchise again because of what transpired during her last time on the show. Heather was involved in a major feud with her co-star, Rayna Lindsey, which started when she used a racial slur while singing. One thing led to another, and the whole thing blew up, leading Heather to leave after finishing the season. In 2023, Heather revealed that she had retired from the yachting business, so returning to the show would mean coming out of retirement.
Viewers have grown so accustomed to seeing Daisy Kelliher on Below Deck Sailing Yacht that theyve forgotten that season 1 featured Jenna MacGillivray as the Chief Stew. Jenna was part of Captain Glenn Shephards original crew and did her job well. However, Bravo never called her back, and it doesnt look like shed ever return to the series again. According to Monsters And Critics, a producer shared that Jennas romance with Chef Adam Glick was a big reason the network didnt consider her for season 2.
Faye Clarke from Below Deck Adventure may never return to the series since the spin-off show will likely never get a season 2. In 2023, Faye addressed her future in the series, stating that shed be open to returning to the franchise when the show returns for season 2. Unfortunately, Bravo decided not to greenlight Below Deck Adventure season 2 and later asked Captain Kerry Titheradge to handle their main series.
If the network wanted Faye back, they wouldve called her for another spin-off months ago. However, her absence proves that shed likely never be back on the series again. Plus, Faye recently welcomed a baby, so the new mom is probably done with her days as a Chief Stew.
Kate had an amazing run on Below Deck. She was Chief Stew for six seasons and set the bar high with her performance. Over the last few years, Kate has distanced herself from the series but still stayed in touch with her crew members.
She became a mother and focused on her other business ventures.
In August 2023, Bravo TV reported if Kate would ever return to Below Deck. She jokingly said, If thats the uniform, I would, stating that if Below Deck allows her to sport the uniform from Project Runway, shed consider returning.
Even though Hannah was a consistent Chief Stew during her five seasons on Below Deck Mediterranean, shed never return to the series. She couldnt return to the spin-off because the last time she was on the show, Captain Sandy fired her for having valium on the yacht. Besides, Hannah has admitted that shed only return to the series if Captain Lee or Captain Jason Chambers from Below Deck Down Under asked her to help them out. Her chances of returning are slim since Captain Lee has retired from Below Deck.
Below Deck season 11 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.

After recently releasing a big Stable Steam Client update for Steam Deck and Desktop PCs, I highlighted that Remote Play was broken on Steam Deck - and so Valve has now fixed it.
Initially putting out a quick Beta update, and then very shortly after putting it into Stable so all users will be able to update now and have working Remote Play. I've tested it across a couple titles from my desktop Linux PC to the Steam Deck, and yup visual, audio and input are all working properly with no more infinite Steam loading screen.
The changelog is:
General
Remote Play
Nice to see Valve get such a big feature fixed up, still a shame to see the initial update rolled out with it broken though. So hopefully checks will be done to prevent this in future.
This is great, as Remote Play is such an incredibly useful feature for when you want to run some bigger games smoother on Steam Deck and you have a PC, so you can sit somewhere super comfortable and just stream it instead of sitting at a desk.

The handheld realm might be intimidating to newcomers and if youre not well informed you might end up making the wrong choice. The Steam Deck is one of the finest handheld devices to have in 2024. However, there are a bunch of alternatives so weve chosen a few excellent options for you to consider.
The Steam Decks surge in popularity over the past few years has prompted a response from the portable PC industry. Brands like GPD and Ayaneo are delving into a market that craves high performance, regardless of the price tag.

Given there are so many upcoming handhelds from the biggest names in tech, it can be hard to figure out which one would actually be the best for your money. Needless to say, none of the handheld alternatives really manage to beat the Steam Deck on price, but instead focus their efforts on something else: Power.

Many of these current handhelds will be using AMDs Zen 3 architecture, which is more powerful than the original Steam Deck, and the upgraded Steam Deck OLED. However, graphics performance remains around on par with Valves portable powerhouse.

The Ayaneo 2 is the companys next-generation handheld. With hall-sensing analog sticks in addition to powerful hardware under the hood, this handheld has to be one of the best ones that weve seen around so far. From its exquisite build quality to the power under the hood, the Ayaneo 2 has it all, if you can live without the trackpad seen on a Steam Deck.

In our testing, the handheld managed to handle all manner of games, including Cyberpunk 2077 at 60 FPS. Since it has a higher resolution than the Steam Deck, you can also run titles with gorgeous high resolution, afforded by the bezel-less IPS display. The Ayaneo can run you around $949, so you will be paying for the privilege.

The Ayaneo Air Pro isnt as powerful as the Steam Deck, and while it does come in at $600, it provides a similar performance to its Valve counterpart. Ayaneo has a bigger range of consoles, with a far deeper user interface for gaming purposes.
In our testing, we found that it could handle things like Elden Ring and Cyberpunk 2077, while smaller indie titles ran almost flawlessly after pushing the power consumption up a little bit.

What youll find with the Ayaneo Air Pro is a much smaller, slimmer design compared to the Steam Deck. While it might not be as powerful, it makes for an excellent Windows gaming device at 720p. It also helps that it comes equipped with a delightful OLED screen.
The two OneXPlayeron handhelds we recommend as Steam Deck alternatives are the Mini editions, sporting either an Intel i7-1260P and Intel Xe graphics, or AMD 6800U with RDNA 2 graphics.

Both of these devices are absurdly powerful in what they sport outside of the specs. The USB-4, as well as supporting up to 100W GaN charging and it has Wi-Fi 6. This should ensure that transferring data, charging and even your downloads will all be excessively quick on the right hardware setup.

These devices are a little bit more expensive, but with the Steam Deck lagging behind in certain specs, it can be a decent alternative to gun for.

Performance on these devices is exceptional, with similar performances to that of the Steam Deck, thanks to the inclusion of RDNA 2 on the AMD unit. The Xe graphics from Intel will get you into most games at a lower resolution without much hassle.
Yes, it was going to make an appearance as an alternative. While the Nintendo Switch might be getting on in years, for those who want that same bounty of games to take with you on the go, this is the way forward.

For now, at least.

The three different versions of the Switch, including the Switch OLED, will all provide the same performance, but the Lite cannot be connected to the TV.
Nintendos current pricing is still considerably lower than Valves Steam Deck, with a lot of the games youd be looking to play on the go, also available at much worse resolutions on the Switch.
However, having direct access to the Switchs exclusives, like Zelda, Mario and Bayonetta make the Switch still a complete no-brainer.

Theres also the added benefit of access to the Nintendo Switch Online game libraries if youre an Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack member. Games spanning from the NES, SNES, N64, and even Game Boy and Game Boy Advance eras of Nintendo are playable at the touch of a button. Negating the often complicated process of setting up EmuDeck on the Steam Deck.

A great benefit of buying games through the Switchs eShop is the collection of gold coins, which you can then transfer over into your local currency to get discounts on games.

Originally announced on April Fools, Asus quickly picked up the slack to confirm that the Asus ROG Ally was real all along.
While we probably wouldnt recommend it as a true alternative to the Steam Deck over the others on this list, the Asus ROG Ally has some impressive specs and performance that others cant match. Weve detailed this further in our review.
While its issues prevent it from becoming the Steam Deck competitor it wants to be, its still a neat little device when it comes together.

Lenovo is not new to the world of gaming; hence, it would make sense for Lenovo to get its feet wet by delving into the handheld category. With the Legion Go, Lenovo knocks it out of the park with standout features such as the clean and simple UI and the detachable controllers.
The Lenovo Legion Go clearly takes inspiration from the Nintendo Switch, with the detachable controllers also being able to act as a mouse. Read more in our hands-on review.

The Legion Go is definitely a worthy competitor when put against the Steam Deck.

Now that were into 2024, there are an awful lot of MTG sets to look forward to. Between Modern Horizons 3, Fallout, and Pioneer Masters, this year is absolutely stacked. Beyond all the supplemental releases, however, there are also plenty of premier sets to look forward to. One such set is Outlaws of Thunder Junction.
Releasing as the second Premier set of 2024, Outlaws of Thunder Junctions release is fast approaching. With just over a month until release day, Wizards has steadily begun releasing new information. This kicked off during MagicCon: Chicago, where players got their First Look at the set.
As the next premier set on the horizon, theres understandably a lot of interest in Outlaws of Thunder Junction. Since this set is practically three releases in one, it definitely has a lot going for it! While Bloomburrow may be stealing its thunder somewhat, theres still plenty of reason to be excited.
Whether youre looking to join the Wild-West hype train or just keep up to date, weve got you covered. Heres everything you need to know about Outlaws of Thunder Junction!
Thankfully, following The Preview Panel at MagicCon: Chicago, we can put to bed any speculation. All the important dates for Outlaws of Thunder Junction have been confirmed! With a plethora of preview and gameplay dates to look forward to, theres a lot on the calendar.
Here are all the dates you need to know for Outlaws of Thunder Junction:
MTG Outlaws of Thunder Junction Key Dates
MTG Outlaws of Thunder Junction Gameplay Events
Due to being a long way from release, story chapters for Outlaws of Thunder Junction have not been released yet. Given past precedent, players can expect to see these before spoiler season starts in early March. While this is still a way away yet, theres still some information to pick apart.
According to Wizards of the Coast, Outlaws of Thunder Junction is the final set within the Omenpath arc. This means that players should be able to expect some big happenings and some potentially major reveals. That being said, however, the Omenpath Arc is only act one of the larger Metronome storyline which lasts until 2026.
Within the set, villains from across Magics multiverse have all flocked to Thunder Junction to duel it out. Traveling via Omenpath, its unclear exactly why MTGs villains are congregating here, however, theres sure to be a good reason. Whether its for a magical McGuffin or just for fun, this set is sure to be an absolute romp.
Curiously, Outlaws of Thunder Junction wasnt originally just one set. Instead, according to Wizards, it was originally planned to have an Aftermath-style follow-up Micro Set. Dubbed The Big Score, this set would continue the sets story and finish it with a flourish. Unfortunately, due to the reaction to March of the Machine: The Aftermath, this planned extra release was quickly scrapped.
Rather than abandoning all the work that had been done, Wizards has smushed the two sets together. This process gave The Big Score a new alternative name The Vault, which annoyingly can be used interchangeably. Thankfully, while the name may be an oddity, cards from The Big Score are easy to identify since they have their own set symbol.
In total, The Big Score contains 40 cards, each one of which is Standard legal. The cards themselves can be found where The List would usually appear within Play Boosters. For better or worse, this means that The List has been mostly replaced in Outlaws of Thunder Junction. To add one last confusing piece of the puzzle, Special Guests cards still exist for the set.
In terms of the cards themselves, weve only seen two from The Big Score right now. These cards are Sword of Wealth and Power
