FOX13 News talked to the experts who say you could be seeing more of it in your home this time of year. Experts said it could have something to do with the winter weather we've had this year.

They say all that ice, snow, and rain building up creates the perfect conditions for mold to grow inside your house if you don't have proper ventilation.

For Tommy Wilson, his mold problem started off small.

It was about eight months ago we started noticing the issue, and going online we thought maybe we could just take care of it ourselves, Wilson said.

Then, it grew into something much bigger than he ever expected.

It was developing behind the walls, we didn't see, Wilson said. When they came out and inspected and went behind the walls and part of some of the flooring, we saw it was more than what we even thought was there.

Wilson called experts with Mold Terminator to take care of the problem, and they told FOX13 News Wilson's house isn't the only one seeing this problem.
