The Toll Bridge Oversight Program Committee hosted the second panel of the Joseph P. Nicoletti Lecture Series about the San Francisco -- Oakland Bay Bridge. Media, along with the public, were invited to the Bay Theater to meet the designers and architects behind this iconic structure. Clive Endress, Caltrans Senior Landscape Architect, Michael Fitzpatrick, TY Lin International Bridge Architect, and Donald MacDonald, Principal Architect of Donald Macdonald Architects, discussed the design concept behind California #39;s largest public works project. The lecture series is named for a Bay Area dean of seismic engineering, Joseph P. Nicoletti, who recently stepped down from several earthquake advisory panels after more than 25 years of public service and more than 40 years in the private sector as a seismic engineer and executive.
