Bangalore, May 6: Even as the results of the Lok Sabha elections for 2014 are awaited and the fate of the thousands of candidates and the formation of the new government at the Centre will be known only after May 16, BJP Opposition Leader in the Karnataka Legislative Council D V Sadananda Gowda has accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of mobilizing huge funds for the polls through the land denotification route.

Addressing a news conference in Bangalore on Tuesday, the former Chief Minister alleged that the Chief Minister has collected huge amount of money to fund elections by clearing files related to land de-notifications and change of land use before the announcement of elections to Lok Sabha.

Gowda demanded that Siddaramaiah should come out with a white paper on cases of land de-notifications in Bangalore City and collection of money from various sources for funding the partys campaign.

The BJP leader, who himself is a candidate from the Bangalore North Lok Sabha constituency, said he had leveled charges against Siddaramaiah based on credible information.

But the State Government has been denying information to him on clearing of files related to land denotifications and change of land use in Bangalore, the BJP leader said.

Accusing that the state government was not ready to part with the information regarding denotification cases, he said: ''I will use RTI platform to obtain the required information to prove charges against Siddaramaiah.

The truth would be known if the Chief Minister brought out the white paper on land transactions, he said.

Alleging that the Government machinery has failed to respond to the grievances of the drought hit taluks, the BJP leader said lack of coordination between bureaucracy and the government impeding development works.
