Annual flower show

As we flip the calendar on winter but still wait for spring in our yards, a sure source of flowers is the annual Macys Flower Show with gardens by Bachmans. The eighth-floor auditorium in Macys downtown Minneapolis store will be transformed into Art in Bloom, with a Renaissance garden, Art Noveau garden, Impressionist garden and several more. Plus, dont miss the Bouquet of the Day series, unveiling pieces from some of Bachmans top floral designers. Theres a flower-show gift shop if you feel like taking home a taste of the spectacle. The show runs March 22-April 4.

Accompanying the show is a flower show design workshop at Bachmans. So if youre inspired by the dramatic floral displays at the show, learn how to make one of your own March 22 from 1-3 p.m. at Bachmans on Lyndale, in the Design Room. The $100 fee covers the cost of materials. Register at bachmans.com or 612-861-7711.
