Robert Van Winkle aka Vanilla Ice, 47, the man behind that 90s mega hit, has turned interior designer. Yes, really. He talks pools with pizza ovens, Da Vinci-style kitchen ceilings, and baths big enough for two

I never in a million years thought I'd end up being into interior design. But 18 years ago, I started working on house construction and picked up great tips from the designers I'd hire to do the decor. Eventually I thought I could save money and do it better myself...

I do it up to an incredibly high standard, and sell on. Ill design it from scratch, and then my architect and I will order the materials and start building. With every single one I always think this is so amazing, I cant sell it! I get a little bit attached, but I have to move on. Ive learned that I like having the money! And besides, I cant live in all of em

Its a lazy river, so you hop onto a raft, sit there with a pia colada, and let it take you on a journey. Youll go under bridges, pass through a cave thats lit with fibre optic lights and has music playing, then theres a tiki hut out in the middle where you can watch TV, sit in the hot tub and marinate.Theres even a pizza oven. I come up with the design ideas, then my team and I put it together.

I wanted somewhere you can wander around naked without being seen. I put this area in, so you can go outside and get a massage in the sunshine, or whatever its a sexy bathroom. The tub is great; you can fit more than one person in there.

I do have a feminine touch when it comes to design, because its the woman who makes the decision when a couple buys a house. I put in incredible bathrooms, and shoe closets. Then the woman will go, "Honey, were buying this one!" and the guy will go, "OK, where do I sign?"

Which I designed myself, and its in my own house in Palm Beach, Florida. My whole family loves that room. Weve got the first Mitsubishi hi-def, 4k projector, which doesnt even come out until 2018.

I like watching motocross, while my daughters (Dusti Rain, 16, and KeeLee Breeze, 14) watch all the modelling and runway reality shows. Its not a man cave, so everyones allowed. People come over for Monday night football parties its basically a giant TV room.

So the books in the library are all red. I like my houses to have southwest exposure, so you can see the sunset. In Florida, thats a huge deal its important the homeowner can see the sunset from his garden or pool.

I stage my houses so a buyer can just walk in and not have to change a thing. Im building a jellyfish aquarium in a house right now, its in a huge tank, and you could stare at it for hours I sell a lifestyle. Ive done well out of these investments, but for me, its not just about the money, it makes me feel great when someone walks into one of my properties and says, "I love it Ill take it!"
