As press accolades grow for interior designer Alison Davin's noteworthy interiors, Davin is thrilled to be the recipient of the California Home + Design Magazine Award for Best Residential Interior Design and chosen as Designer to Watch at the SFDC Designers of Distinction Awards Gala during 2013 Design Week.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 11, 2013

Alison Davins San Anselmo Bungalow was recognized for the design of this intimate yet open family home. The 1920s 1,000 square foot Mediterranean Cottage was characteristically cozy, a feature the homeowners appreciated and wanted to retain. The eye-catching reclaimed wood beams that stretch horizontally along the entire living space is an architectural detail added by Davin, a feature that sets the tone for the entire design of this quant bungalow. It really added character and warmth, says Davin. The look really fits the Bohemian vibe of the family. With a fresh coat of white paint and texture added through an artful mix of rustic and primitive pieces, Davins design captures the spirit of the homeowners and makes the homes relatively small size an afterthought.

For Davin, interior design was a natural progression from a career in fine art. In 2007 after moving from Las Angeles to San Francisco, Alison launched her own interior design firm,Jute. As Davin continues to design uniquely beautiful spaces, her work is undoubtedly noteworthy. As the recipient of this years Designer to Watch award at the Designers of Distinction Gala, 2013 is proving to be an exciting year for Davin and her team at Jute.

Alison and her work have recently been featured in the highly regarded interior design magazine Traditional Home and design blog Remodelista. Her interior design portfolio can be viewed on his website at http://www.jutehome.com
