Overview Today I took the time to sit down with Glenys Moss, a home stager with the Hann Group. A real estate team with Hanlon Realty to ask some questions about home staging. Basic Transcript Questions What is home staging? Home staging is getting your home ready for the market. It #39;s a way to maximize the assets in your home and minimize feature that are not as attractive. An example could be that you have a huge flat screen television in your living room that maybe the focal point. It might be best to move that to another room to create a entertainment space. This could make your living room feel much larger and have the added bonus of identifying the other space as a media room. When you go to market your objective is to stage your home to best suit the buyers not to suite the current home owner that is living in the home. An interior decorators job is to adjust the home to best suit the current home owner. A home stagers job is to know what demographic the sale of the home is targeting and to work with the home owner to help appeal to the buyers. If a home stager does their job right they maybe able to have the home appeal to many people and potentially open up the possibility to garner multiple offers. If my client has hired an interior decorator in the past do they need or should they hire a home stager to help sell their home? Where can someone find a home stager?
