Since 2009, Brandino Brass has been one of the Southeasts premier suppliers of hardware and lighting for residential and commercial buildings.

Theyre known for a comprehensive showroom with an extensive range of door hardware, cabinet hardware, indoor and outdoor lighting, mailboxes, bath accessories and custom hardware designs.

With so much to choose from, walking into the showroom can be both inspiring and overwhelming.

Thats where Megan Brasher and Renee Genereux come in.

With backgrounds in interior design and several years of experience between them, Megan and Renee are well equipped to help customers narrow down their options and choose the best hardware and lighting fixtures for their spaces.

Megan, who began her career after completing a degree in interior design at Auburn University, uses her background in design and construction to help guide clients through the showroom, whatever stage of completion their home is in.

Design details drew me in, said Megan, who spent a lot of her youth going to open houses and perusing design magazines. I enjoy reworking spaces and making modifications to interiors to make them better than before.

Ive worked in every element of design, whether its drawing up plans, selecting furnishings or figuring out how to build something. Ive kind of done all of it, she said.

Renees background is on the more technical side of interior design. She has a degree in drafting and design and has worked with contractors to design kitchens and bathrooms, as well as cabinetry.

One of the things she truly enjoys is working with a new construction. I like having a blank slate and seeing the whole house come together, which is really rewarding. Each customer does something a little different, Renee said.

The products that are supplied by Brandino Brass often serve as the finishing touches to a space or landscape design.

According to Megan and Renee, the first step to choosing your hardware is deciding how you want it to relate to the rest of your design elements.

[Hardware and lighting fixtures] can do two different things in a room, Renee said. You can get a piece of cabinet hardware that is the jewelry of your cabinets, where its eye-catching and everyone sees it as a showstopper. Then, you have other pieces that can be placed in the exact same position on a cabinet, but it blends in and its very cohesive with the room.

The second aspect to choosing hardware is functionality. For this, we like to ask a lot of questions, Megan said. Theres a lot that goes into how your hardware will work with your lifestyle.

For instance, a family that likes to cook a lot would prefer functional, easy to grasp handles in their kitchen rather than something that is eye-catching or petite.

If youre looking to spruce up your curb appeal on the other hand, splurging on more intricate hardware for your front door or adding the appealing glow of a gas lantern may be the way to go.

If youd like to visit the Brandino Brass showroom, make an appointment with Megan or Renee, and they can help you choose the right products for your home or office.
