THE HOME security business is booming in Griffith following a spike in break and enters in September, October and November.

Since October, Eacom a Griffith-based home security company has experienced a 25 to 30 per cent increase in domestic inquiries.

Eacom general manager Adrian Lucas said residents were "particularly interested" in buying the DSC Fully Wireless home security system.

Griffith police Detective Tim Clark said local police were looking to work closely with the community to combat property offences.

In December police made "a number of key arrests" resulting in a decline in break and enters across the region.

"All of the police here have worked very hard to find the offenders, lock them up and put them before the court," detective Clark said.

While police are "very pleased" with their efforts, they believe a number of known suspects are still at large.
