BRISTOL, Va. - BVU Authority is rolling out a new suite of services designed to help customers protect and control their homes.

The project, called Quantum Home, will be available to all BVU OptiNet fiber-optic customers. Members of the BVU Authority board of directors heard a presentation on the services at a midday meeting.

It will include home security, remote control of thermostats, lighting and energy management, interim CEO Mike Bundy said.

"BVU has always been a leading edge technology company and - as a leading edge technology company - we need to continue to offer to our subscribers leading edge products. Quantum Home is that product," Bundy said after the meeting.
