Its springtime in New England, and as temperatures continue to fluctuate, some heating and cooling thermostats have made this weeks recalls list.

More than $700,000 White-Rodgers thermostats are being recalled because the alkaline batteries used in the thermostat can leak onto the circuit board, posing a fire hazard.

The company has received two reports of incidents resulting in minor property damage. The thermostats were sold nationwide by heating, ventilation, and air conditioning manufacturers, as well as at hardware stores from January 2006 to December 2013. The product sold for anywhere between $30 and $70.

If there is no battery icon on the thermostats screen, consumers should call the manufacturer for a free repair.

A number of GE brand dehumidifiers are also being recalled. The products compressor can short circuit, posing a fire hazard.

The company has received a report of a fire continued in the unit. The dehumidifiers were sold exclusively at WalMart and Sams Club stores. Consumers can return the product to the manufacturer for a free repair.

The Altria Group is recalling a three-in-one flashlight, compass, and match holder, due to burn and injury hazards. The distributor says the matches can ignite inside of the flashlight.

About $365,000 of the flashlights are being recalled. The product was distributed as a promotional item for Marlboro cigarettes.

The Altria Group has received 11 reports of the matches igniting inside of the product, and two reports of the product exploding.
