Custom Air Products & Services, Inc. Breaks Service Department Record for Fourth Consecutive Month

Custom Air Products & Services, Inc. (CAPS), a leading commercial and industrial heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) company based in Houston, Texas (US) is proud to celebrate the Service Divisions fourth consecutive record breaking month.

CAPS is comprised of three divisions, each with their own specific focus and capabilities: Fabrication and Manufacturing, Mechanical Field Services and Service. The HVAC Service Division provides on-site emergency service and repair, renovation, retrofit and maintenance for all types of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, controls and plumbing systems. They provide services at commercial and industrial facilities all throughout Texas. The Service Department also supports the proper and smooth start-up of new prefabricated equipment manufactured in-house.

Its no wonder why the department has received as many service calls as they have these past four months: with the temperature averaging above ninety degrees all summer in Houston, the heat has taken quite a toll on industrial plants and commercial businesses. Allan Taylor, CAPS Testing Manager says: what we do is more than just provide comfort cooling. For some companies, they cannot continue to function without AC. We are keeping them in business and from losing, sometimes, thousands of dollars.

CAPS dedicated inside sales estimators are an extreme advantage to the department. The estimators focus primarily on providing their customers with more timely repair options to minimize their down time. In addition to keeping repair costs down, it is their goal to extend the life of the equipment. Estimates can be given while technicians are on the job and can have a turnaround of as quickly as one hour.

Along with the sweltering months, our business is changing says Corrie Haines, Service Operations Manager: We are moving to an international market and have a global customer base now. With several new start-up units in the Middle East and Russia, CAPS service technicians are busy supporting their tremendously growing customer base.

Taylor Norris, CEO, has confidence that the service division will break even more records in the future, but is aware there is always room for improvement: With the changing environment and the expansion of our customer base, a continued growth in our controls sector is necessary to meet the needs going forward for our client base.
