SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Some Springfield businesses are bouncing back after a massive fire Monday night.

"Other Mothers," "The Original Springfield Handyman," and "Andy's Roofing" were all damaged when a fire broke out in a storage building where the businesses are housed. The "Springfield Indoor Swap Meet" and "ATA Fleamart" both lost power.

All businesses plan on being back in business soon-- if they aren't already.

The businesses may be damaged, and some completely destroyed, but that's not affecting the outlooks of workers. Some are continuing to work with what they can, and others say they'll be back in business soon.

"From a couple blocks away, the sky was orange," says "Other Mothers" Owner Linda Audas. "And I thought, oh my gosh, it looked like the whole block was on fire!"

Smoke and flames billowed from the building Monday night-- the glow and haze destroyed two businesses in its path and damaged others.

"It was a shock," says Audas. "An absolute shock."

"Other Mothers" is adjoined to "The Original Springfield Handyman," which is the business where the fire broke out.

"We had mostly smoke damage and a little water damage," says Audas. "You can see piles and piles of stuff-- so it's hard to actually determine a value."

While "Other Mothers" is out of business for a few days and is damaged, the fire completely destroyed "Springfield Handyman Services" and "Andy's Roofing," which is in between other mothers and the flea market.
