Janet Dykes has joined the Family Safety Center, Memphis and Shelby Countys center for victims of domestic violence, as controller. In her new role, she is responsible for all finance, accounting and human resources functions, in addition to providing leadership and coordination in the organizations administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts.

Hometown: Memphis

Experience: Mid-South Food Bank, chief financial officer, 2005-2014; Girls Inc. of Memphis, finance and administration director, 2001-2005; biomedical research organizations in California in finance positions, 1990-2000.

Family: Four kitty cats at home; two sisters in Memphis; one brother in Atlanta and many nieces and nephews in various places
