Mark Costello a former Civil Engineer and Project Manager is a recent addition to the growing House Doctors handyman and remodeling franchise network. Costello who now offers handyman services in Rockville, Maryland, opened in January, renewing a passion for being his own boss that he discovered earlier in life when he started a small residential repair and remodeling business.

Costello who, through college worked as a carpenter performing finish and trim carpentry for a national new-home builder, earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. He'd also worked for several years for state and federal agencies as an engineer and been involved in construction, remodeling, and repair since 1984. So why a House Doctors franchise? The advantage of being a franchisee is that I am allowed to focus on aspects of the business that I can control. Costello, who has his daughter Elizabeth lending a hand as a Customer Service Representative when she can, had fourteen years of moving around the country with the United States Air Force before he and his family settled in Rockville. He now plans to build a successful home improvement business in the area through offering great customer service. He added, "The residential and commercial property repair, maintenance and improvement markets are growing. At House Doctors, Rockville, we plan to be part of that growth through offering exceptional customer service in both of these markets."
