WALLA resident Keith Churches says ratepayers are being short-changed by Greater Hume Council, as it fails to address their concerns.

Mr Churches said he had raised several issues with the council but they had not been fixed, and he believes he has support from other ratepayers in the township of 700.

Mr Churches filled in a form at Wallas rural transaction centre in February which was forwarded to the council.

No one is overjoyed paying rates. But seeing we pay the second highest rates in the shire, we expect to see something for our money, he said.
