It depends on the size of the veneer. Engineered hardwood is a composite material that consists of a backing, core layers of plywood and a real hardwood top layer. The thickness of top layer varies from product to product (usually somewhere between 4 to 8 millimeters). The thicker it is the less chance of sanding all the way through to the plywood. To be on a safe side,we recommend you consult a flooring specialist prior to starting any work on your engineered flooring.

It is possible to install flooring tiles on walls if the walls can carry their weight, but the opposite using wall tiles as flooring tiles isnt recommended.

My new carpet has an odor. What should I do?

Its perfectly normal for a new carpet to have a certain smell. Its caused by volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) which are harmless and usually disappear within three days after installation.All carpets are strictly controlled following the requirements of Indoor Air Quality and the VOCs emitted by them is one of the lowest among existing flooring materials. Engineered wood floors can be glued down or floated over a concrete slab, as long as its over a dry, clean, and completely even surface and not below grade.
