Two healing seminars on Staten Island planned for women

STATEN ISLAND If youre fed up with the stresses of everyday life and feeling the negative energy from angry individuals around you, you may be interested in the concept of Feng Shui, a term that translates into wind-water in English. Its the Chinese philosophical system of harmonizing the human existence with the surrounding environment. Feng Shui is one of the Five Arts of Chinese Metaphysics, an observation of appearances through formulas and calculations and the practice discusses architecture in terms of invisible forces that bind the universe, Earth and man together, known as qi/chi energy. In Feng Shui, the energy that runs through the exterior of your environment, under and above the roadways and throughout ones neighborhood, is referred to as the chi of the land. Valerie Gullo, owner of AJNA Healing Center in Dongan Hills, has teamed with her teacher, Nancy (Andie) SantoPietro, a noted Feng Shui expert, to host a seminar on the Feng Shui of Staten Island and how it impacts local residents with regard to construction and the chi of the land. The women promise an empowering seminar, allowing Staten Island residents to clear some of the chaos from their lives using Feng Shui principles, employing a fresh approach in order to become balanced and stabilized. MEDITATION WORKSHOP Meanwhile, the Art of Transformation Meditation Workshop titled The Power of Self Love, with Pauline Esposito, a doctor of metaphysics, is set for Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Linda Lingerie Boutique, 61 Page Ave., Tottenville. Theres truth to the time-honored expression that you cant truly love another until you love yourself and Ms. Esposito will explain what self-love is all about. In the meditation workshop, shell teach why its important to love yourself, and how the basis for all other healthy relationships is directed by love of self. Learning to love and approve of yourself is the greatest gift you can give yourself and others, she says. A question-and-answer period will follow, as will a 30-minute meditation to connect with our spirit. Ms. Esposito is a healer, spiritual teacher and intuitive. She has a bachelor of science degree in human resource management, is a certified thought field therapist, master herbalist, Reiki master, light body healer, has a doctorate in metaphysics, and is trained in transcendental meditation.
