Fire and gold-related sectors, such as auto, electronics and oil, are also likely to perform well.

CLSA also advises the public to avoid the west side when buying property, for example Tuen Mun.

The north, including Yuen Long and Causeway Bay, are the best places in the Year of the Ram, it says.

Good luck of the north also suggests an increase in cross-border trading.

But don't bank on the forecasts being correct. At the start of this Lunar New Year, the firm tipped the Hang Seng Index to soar above 28,000 points by August 2014. The highest figure was only 25,362 points, and that was in September.
