MANILA, Philippines Feng shui is usually applied to homes and businesses, but this is also used to determine if a person is compatible with his or her friend or partner.

With the start of the Year of the Water Snake last Sunday and only three days until Valentines Day, feng shui expert Raquel Anion said all animal signs of the Chinese zodiac have their respective friends and allies, noting that some people are simply not compatible with others.

The Chinese zodiac is based on a 12-year cycle, with each year assigned to a certain animal.

Lahat ng tao may kanya-kanyang animal signs. Lahat ng animal signs ay may mga friends and allies, said Anion, who is the managing director of Charmed House of Modern Feng Shui, in an interview on the ABS-CBN morning show Umagang Kay Ganda on Monday.

According to Anion, those born in the Year of the Tiger are compatible with the Horse, Dog and Pig, but are in conflict with persons born in the Year of the Monkey.

The Rabbit, on the other hand, will get along well with the Pig, Sheep and Tiger, but not with the Rooster. The Rat is a good match for the Dragon, Monkey and Ox, but not with the Horse.

Anion added that the Ox is compatible with the Snake, Rooster and Rat, but not with the Sheep; while the Dragon is good with the Rat, Monkey and Rooster, but not with the Dog.

The Snake is well-suited to the Ox, Rooster or Monkey, but not with the Pig; while the Horse is great with the Dog, Tiger and Sheep, but not with the Rat.

Meanwhile, Anion said the Sheep is compatible with the Pig, Rabbit and Horse but not with the Ox; while the Monkey is well-matched to the Rat, Dragon and Snake, but is in conflict with the Tiger.
