Apling scaled several fences topped with razor wire to escape the Pend Oreille County Jail in February but was arrested without incident today when deputies stopped a car he was a passenger in near Camden Road and Highway 2 just after midnight. Apling, 29, had been in jail in February for driving with a suspended license and trespassing, both misdemeanors. He is now facing a new charge of second-degree escape. The driver of the car, 32-year-old Kyle J. Mischenko of Newport, and 30-year-old Adina M. Ahlers of Priest River, were both arrested with first-degree rendering criminal assistance for
